CCQT: Scope CCQT is the process by which the Market Operator verifies that a Market Participant can establish a connection with the market systems and SEMOpx platform. To prove successful connection, the Market Participant will run scripts and confirm that they can access and interact with the market systems as outlined below. For the BM: Retrieval of Daily Trading Day Exchange Rate report (REPT_010) from the MPI Submission of Simple Demand or Generator Offer Data (as applicable) via the MPI for Type 2 communication, followed by a query of the same Offer Data submitted, via Type 3 communication. For the CM: Viewing and downloading the Market Participant Qualification Report from the Capacity Management Platform (CMP), via the CMP application for Type 2 communication For the SEMOpx platform: Day-Ahead and Intraday Auction Platform: EPEX Trading System (ETS) Market Participant exports auction bids from the EPEX Trading System (ETS) client Intraday Continuous Trading Platform: M7 System Market Participant exports orders from the M7 client 9
PIT: Scope PIT verifies that a Market Participant can exchange data with the Balancing Market, Capacity Market, and SEMOpx platform. To facilitate this, PIT is organised into two phases. Scripted Phase The mandatory, initial phase focused on verifying a Market Participant s ability to submit and query data from the market systems. Once all of the mandatory scripts have been successfully completed, the Market Participant is free to proceed with the unstructured PIT test phase. Unstructured Phase The optional phase during which Market Participants can exchange data with the market systems at will and for their own purposes (e.g. system testing or user training). This phase will run from the time starting at Market Participant s successful completion of the PIT scripted phase to the start of Market Trial. 10

Risk Register Risk Description There is a Risk that there will be inadequate business (operational) resources in place for Market Trial, Training and Auctions resulting in inadequate preparation and execution which will impact on the Level 1 Plan including Go Live. There is a risk that trial participants will not be able to interface with the market systems. This would require development resources to be deployed to solve the problem which is not planned. Risk Response/Control 1. Resource requirements identified 2. Align resource requirements with the training requirements 3. Multiple workshops held with various business functions as part of the development of a market trial strategy. 4. The Market Trial Plan has been updated. 1. Engage with participants and agree an approach for interface testing. 2. EirGrid have developed a bespoke CCQT document which will be shared with the various participant 3. Continue to meet the participants and support them with their CCQT and PIT type testing. 36
