Description The Camino Modular Floor System SC Series (the ACamino SC System@) used in office type occupancies consist of a 600 mm x 600 mm panel (610 mm x 610 mm), which are made up of a nominal 25 mm thick high density composite core, encased with galvanized steel sheets that are structurally bonded with a thermosetting adhesive to both faces. The panels are supported by adjustable steel pedestals. Each panel is bolted to the pedestals by means of a screw type fastener, or alternatively, for a computer room application, the panels are supported on four sides by a bolted stringer system. A 0.607 mm thick gauge galvanized steel channel, nominally 15 mm x 12.7 mm x 600 mm, is attached in the field to any edge that is cut, ensuring that the Camino SC System core is not exposed. 4. Authorization requested The applicant sought a Building Materials Evaluation Commission (BMEC) authorization for the Camino SC System as an equivalent to the requirements of Sentence 3.1.5.8.(2). ACombustible Flooring Elements@ of the Building Code.

5. Assessment Reports and assessments provided by the applicant show that if the Camino SC System is designed, performance tested and installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and limitations and the specific terms and conditions stated in this authorization, the level of performance required by the Building Code will be provided. The following is a list of the documents submitted, and reviewed, but not limited to: 1. Bodycoat Materials Testing Canada Inc. 6. Authorization The Camino SC System is authorized for use in noncombustible construction, as an access floor panel system, as required by Sentence 3.1.5.8.(2). ACombustible Flooring Elements@ of the Building Code; all other requirements pertaining to the design, installation and construction are subject to the regulations of the Building Code, and to the following terms and conditions: Note: If a conflict arises between the provisions of this authorization, or the manufacturer s installation instruction, then the most restrictive provision shall apply. A. Specific Terms & Condition 1. This authorization is valid only for the Camino Modular Systems, Inc., 2. This authorization is valid only for Camino SC System model numbers SC 1000, SC 1250, SC 1300, SC 1500, and SC 2000. 3. The space under the Camino SC System shall not be used for storage. 4. The Camino SC System shall not be designed to carry a uniform live load greater than 16 kpa. 5. The subfloor, in which the Camino SC System will be installed, shall be sufficiently constructed or deemed sufficient to carry the load of the Camino SC System. 6. The Camino SC System shall be installed as per ACamino Modular Systems Quality Assurance, SC Series with High Density Composite Core, Section 10270". 7. The Camino SC System shall be installed on a noncombustible, floor slab or subfloor. 8. Fibre optic cables and electrical wires located in the space under the Camino SC System shall not be considered as being protected against exposure to fire. 9. Where the Camino SC System is cut during field installations the exposed edge shall be: a) substantially covered by an electrical devise box protruding through the floor panel, b) positioned to abut interior construction surfaces and separated from the underfloor space by a continuous steel support channel, and c) covered by an overlapping channel, having a nominal 25 gauge cold rolled G40 steel with a galvanized coating, which substantially covers the cut edge of the panel. Camino Modular Systems Page 3 of 5

10. If the space below the Camino SC Floor System is used as a plenum, then: a) except for optical fibre cables, electrical wires, and cables, then all materials within that space shall have a flame-spread rating of not more than 25 and a smoke developed classification of not more than 50, b) optical fibre cables, electrical wires, and cables shall exhibit a flame spread not more than 1.5 m, a smoke density not more than 0.5 at peak optical density and a smoke density not more than 0.15 at average optical density when tested in conformance with the Flame and Smoke Test in the Appendix to CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 0.3, "Test Methods for Electrical Wires and Cables" (i.e., FT6 Rating), and c) in addition to being noncombustible, all metal supports shall have a melting point not below 760 C 0. B. General Conditions 1. The use of the Camino SC System as described in 6. A. Specific Terms and Conditions No. 1. must comply with the Building Code Act, 1992 as amended or re-enacted from time to time and except as specifically authorized herein, with the Building Code as amended or remade from time to time. 2. A copy of this Authorization shall accompany each application for a building permit and shall be maintained on the site of the construction with the building permit. 3. The Applicant named in Part 1 hereof shall promptly notify the BMEC of the failure of the Applicant, or of the material, system or building design that is the subject matter of this Authorization, to comply with any of the terms and conditions set out in 6. A. above; or the occurrence of any of the events described in Conditions 6. B. 4. and (ii) below. 4. The BMEC may amend or revoke this Authorization where it determines that: any change has been made to: (i) (ii) (iii) the material, system or building design that is the subject matter of this Authorization; the address of the applicant specified in Part 1 of this Authorization; or, the ownership of the applicant specified in Part 1 of this Authorization.
