The Availability of LNG along the Rhine A Practical Example from LIQUIND 24/7

Liquind in a Nutshell

We have been developing our business since 2014 LIQUIND is ready to make LNG available in Duisburg and Mannheim Q2 2016 Q3 2016 Q4 2016 Q2 2017 Q4 2017 Q1 2018 Foundation and Financing Site and asset evaluation Project preparation Construction- and BImSchG permitting Development German-wide rollout A-Round investment Funding by the EU- Commission Contracting of engineering and equipment Provisional station in Duisburg LNG available in container stations Start of construction in Duisburg and Mannheim

We have decided to take on the responsibility of promoting the LNG-as-fuel segment to make our world cleaner LIQUIND will make the ecological and economical benefits of LNG available to the German energy market until 2018 through the development of a country-wide distribution network and subsequent pan-european rollout.

LIQUIND is a provider of open access LNG storage and filling infrastructure gas suppliers are highly welcome for joint use Build Operate Own Open for various gas suppliers Dedicated to only one supplier Suppliers like: Open-access LNG-storage infrastructure offering storage capacity to molecule owners (Duisburg, Mannheim, Weil am Rhein) Open storage volume access for methane molecule storing Supply of trucks and inland vessels Preliminary contracts for up to 50% capacity utilization available Expressed interest from potential truck and barge owners Open-access to guarantee market development Fuel station built by LIQUIND fed with gas by one gas supplier* Station dedicated to gas customers Long-term contracts Exclusive to gas supplier * Kind of DODO (Dealer Operated Dealer Owned) fuel station 5

LNG as Fuel by LIQUIND

In order to make LNG available at major logistics hubs, LIQUIND has decided to realize points of LNG supply Starting in Duisburg, Mannheim and Weil am Rhein LNG storage & supply infrastructure Development of a LNG distribution infrastructure along the river Rhine Focus on the inland harbours of Duisburg and Mannheim as essential LNG-hubs and a smaller unit in Weil am Rhein Modular set-up of two LNG terminals in Duisburg and Mannheim with a large storage volume Supplying inland navigation, heavy road transportation as well as local traffic with LNG and CNG Security of LNG supply via containers, inland carriers or tank wagons

LIQUIND 24/7 small-scale LNG terminal Location Duisburg Duisburg is the largest European inland waterway harbour Handling of more than 20.000 inland vessels per year Tens of thousands of trucks running in and out of Duisburg to distribute goods Handling of 20.000 trains per year Site Criteria Suitable size Good road connection (Highway A40) Easy access for trucks Usable pier for barges existing Railway connection Potential permit for handling LNG

The designated plot in Duisburg provides spaces for large storage volume, barge bunkering and up to 3 bays for truck refuelling* Truck refuelling area Parking area Space for up to 1000 cm3 storage volume Machinery area Bunkering area *Permitting process is readily advancing

In the meantime LIQUIND has already installed a mobile LNG station in Duisburg - you are highly welcome to visit! Mobile LNG station for demonstration purposes Installed at Duisburger Parallelhafen Accessible by potential customers No permits necessary ADR-permit available Approx. 7 tonnes LNG capacity Semi-automized Pump attendant necessary... 10

Location Mannheim Mannheim is the second largest German inland waterway harbour Handling of more than 7.000 inland vessels per year Tens of thousands of trucks running in and out of Mannheim to distribute goods in the economical strong agglomeration Strong chemical and automotive industry Site Criteria Suitable size Good road connection (Highway A6) Easy access for trucks Close to major logistics companies Railway connection LIQUIND 24/7 small-scale LNG terminal

Our roll-out model focuses on the most important inland waterways Consistent development of EU-funded sites in Duisburg, Mannheim and Basel/Weil am Rhein Brunsbüttel Magdeburg/ Braunschweig LNG-infrastructure development along the German inland waterways in order to build a cost-effective LNG-supply chain Kassel? Inland harbour as important LNG supply hubs LNG-infrastructure development at important traffic and logistics hubs and around agglomerations with connection to rail and road Weil am Rhein/ Basel 12
