One of the biggest mistakes email marketers make is to select a niche without doing research into whether it is profitable or not. Ask yourself these four questions to select a great email marketing niche. o Are there always offers to promote; lots of things to buy? o Are customers in this niche known to buy? o Can you market to this niche online in a profitable way? o Do you like this niche? 1.2 Using the LaunchPad Niches Choosing a niche requires spending enough time up front to do proper research. The gravity score tells you that there are multiple affiliates selling that product. Look for niches on ClickBank with multiple products that have a gravity score above 30. 1.5 - Research Niches on Magazines.com Magazines.com will help you to evaluate how popular a niche is. Remember the 3 key spots to check out on Magazines.com: The Front Page The Toolbar The Highest Ranking When a niche catches your eye on Magazines.com, remember to ask yourself the four questions for choosing good email marketing niches Be very careful to think about whether YOU would buy products in that niche. And how often. Some niches may be fun to read about, like celebrity gossip. But you re most likely just buying the gossip because there aren t many real products in that niche! 1.6 Research Niches on Google Not all digital products are in Clickbank.com s marketplace. It s just one resource in the research process. Google is an excellent tool for niche research for finding hidden offers. Search Google using the proper keyword phrase such as [niche] affiliate offer or [niche] affiliate program. This will help you find products for sale in the marketplace that may be using private affiliate programs instead of external sites like Clickbank. Be sure to check out the pages that come up on your search results to see if they re legitimate or not. 1.7 Research Niches on YouTube

Use YouTube s search engine to discover popular topics, and confirm that there is demand for information in your niche. YouTube can tell you what kind of information your customers want. Much like searching Google, use keywords to start exploring YouTube. If you find popular videos in your search, that s a sign there s enough demand for information in that niche. Pay attention to the suggested keywords that YouTube displays while searching. This will tell you popular related searches that you ll want to use. This will also help you come up with sub-niches. 1.8 Research Niches on Amazon Amazon is an excellent tool for niche research. It s the largest online marketplace in the world. Amazon features the largest ebook marketplace, and it makes its sales data available for free! Its search engine is one of the top search engines in the world, only behind giants Google and YouTube. Check out the bestseller ranking and number of reviews for Kindles and ebooks in your niche to get a sense of how popular those niches are and what topics are covered. Search for best sellers then sort by category to get ideas for sub-niches and topics. Pay attention to reviews. If there are tons of reviews, it s an indicator that that topic is a popular one.
