I thank you all for referring our Environmental Report for the year 2014. Since the foundation of Sharp India Limited in the year 1985 in Pune, India, the company adopted eco-friendly attitude and always tried to create an eco-friendly atmosphere around the factory and surrounding area. Last year we have successfully started manufacturing of Inverter Air Conditioners which are energy efficient & draw only 60-70% of the power as compared to conventional split Air Conditioners. During installation of the new set-up for manufacturing of the Air Conditioners we have taken maximum care to use energy efficient equipment / devices. We will further monitor the performance of the new set-up & continue to incorporate new measures to save the energy & reduce wastage. During the last year 2014-15, Sharp India Ltd. had taken up various initiatives to reduce CO2 emission/unit, water saving, etc. Summary of activities is as below - Environment Day at Factory was celebrated by plantation of 30 nos. of trees in the factory premises. - Total CO2 emission increased due addition of new equipments for AC ODU PWB manufacturing. - Reduction in Water usage & prevention of water leakages.
