We can both advise and implement ISO 50001, or work with you to set up your own Energy Management System through the Elmhurst EnergyCheck Scheme. Before we begin planning your energy management service it is important that we get to know your organisation and its unique workings, in order to gauge which energy efficiency programme is ideal for you. Our consultants can then advise you on the best approach to implementation, which will focus on swift implementation time without disruption to the day to day running of your organisation. What we can offer? Investing in Energy Management Services may not be the first thing that pops into your head when you think about cost saving exercises, however not only can it reduce energy costs it can also: Deliver a measurable reduction in energy consumption (increase profit margins) by as much as 30%. Evaluate your options for implementation based on cost benefit analysis. Certify your company s energy management improvements.

ISO 50001 ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ISO 50001 is the international standard for Energy Management Systems (EnMS). It provides a robust framework within which organisations can measure, analyse and improve their energy consumption. ISO 50001 brings huge benefits to organisations of significant size concerned with: Continually reducing energy consumption to minimum costs Reducing carbon emissions for compliance and corporate social responsibility. As each and every organisation is different, with its own processes, plants, systems, culture and resources, ISO 50001 is flexible enough to be used by most companies, and can be made as simple or as complicated as you want. Moreover being certified with ISO 50001 also acts as a compliance route to ESOS, by establishing a more long term strategic route to energy management. Implementing ISO 50001 can be an efficient process, with a potential for a high return on investment With Elmhurst Energy Services we can provide knowledgeable support through understanding the wider implications of ISO 50001 across your organisation. Our project management methodologies keep our projects on track, targeting maximum energy savings at the earliest opportunity. We can even take advantage of previous investments in energy management (such as ISO 14001) to support implementation of ISO 50001.

BUILDING REGULATIONS COMPLIANCE With over 20 years experience in energy efficiency, our ratings and recommendations are based on specialist software and backed-up by real industry expertise. With Elmhurst Energy Services you can find out whether you are fulfilling important energy efficiency obligations before your building is let or sold. POST OCCUPANCY EVALUATION (POE) Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is the process of collecting evidence on a building s operational performance- Its importance has grown in recent times, with POE being used to assist with cost reduction, and made mandatory on many public projects. It is valuable in all construction sectors, especially industrial, schools, offices, commercial and housing, where poor building performance will impact on running costs and occupant well-being (affecting business efficiency). Post-Occupancy Evaluation will: Highlight any immediate build or fit out problems that can be addressed and solved before it s too late for the next development. Identify any gaps in communication and understanding, that impact on the building operation Provide lessons that can be used to improve design and procurement on future projects Act as a benchmarking tool to compare across projects and over time. Elmhurst Energy Services Ltd offers a variety of post-occupancy evaluation methods which can be tailored to your individual needs, including: A detailed occupant feedback Comfort and control over environmental conditions Improvements to productivity and performance, as well as staff retention and motivation A review of design, procurement, construction and handover processes Monitoring of environmental conditions- including temperature, noise, light, air quality, ventilation and relative humidity Sustainability and utility audits, measuring and demonstrating the environmental performance of buildings in use, to inform property management and energy efficiency strategies

The project team will be introduced to data collection & measures as well as the use of diagnostic tools and techniques i.e. process mapping, root cause analysis. 3.
