SAFETY DATA SHEET Section 1 - CHEMICAL, PRODUCT AND COMPANY IDENTIFICATION Supplier Information: American Excelsior Company 850 Avenue H East Arlington, TX 76011 Office Phone #: (817) 385-3500 Chemical Name: Polyurethane SDS Origination Date: 05-12-15 Synonyms: Polyurethane Foam Last Revision Date: 05-12-15 Internal Product Codes: Product Use: Packaging Section 2 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Product Overview: Product is Polyurethane foam used for packaging. It is solid open-cellular foam. Not know to contain any hazardous materials. Dusts may cause irritation to eyes and respiratory tract. Dusts in air may pose an explosive hazard. Combustible solid, once ignited will burn with rapid flame spread producing intense heat, dense smoke and toxic fumes (primarily oxides of carbon and nitrogen). GHS LABEL:! Signal word: WARNING Primary Health Hazard(s): The primary health hazards posed by this product are thought to be due to exposure to dusts. Potential Health Effects: Skin Contact Eye Contact Inhalation Ingestion Rubbing may cause mechanical irritation. Skin absorption not expected to be significant under normal use of product. Dust may cause mechanical irritation. Dusts may cause irritation to the respiratory tract. When heated to decomposition, fumes are toxic. Essentially non-toxic. Section 3 - COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS Components CAS Number % Weight Polyurethane 100.0 1 P a g e

Section 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES Eyes: Inhalation: May cause mechanical irritation. Open eyelids and hold back while flushing with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention. No special treatment required. May cause mechanical irritation. Vacuum or brush dusts from skin. No special treatment required. Remove victim to fresh air. If victim has stopped breathing, administer artificial respiration and seek immediate medical attention. Section 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Flash Point: Method Used: Upper Flammable Limit (UFL): Lower Flammable Limit (LFL): Auto Ignition: Flammability Classification: Rate of Burning: Moderate to rapid General Fire Hazards: Product will ignite upon exposure to ignition source causing intense heat and dense smoke with toxic gases (primarily oxides of carbon and nitrogen). Burning foam may melt into pools or droplets of burning liquid. Foam may smolder and reignite. Foam dusts can produce potentially explosive atmospheres. Treat this material as a combustible solid. Extinguishing Media: Water, foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide. Fire Fighting Equipment/Instructions: Fire fighters should wear NIOSH approved full-face positive pressure self contained breathing apparatus and impervious protective clothing. Section 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Containment Procedures: Pick-up or sweep large pieces of material for recycling or disposal. Sweep or vacuum dusts for disposal avoiding generating static discharge. Larger pieces of this material are recyclable. Material not collected for recycling is to be disposed of a non-hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. 2 P a g e

Section 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE Recommended Storage Methods: Storage areas should be protected be a sprinkler system meeting insurance, NFPA and/or local codes. Avoid elevated storage temperatures. Keep away from open flames, burning cigarettes, space heaters, naked lights, exposed wiring, or other ignition sources. Urethane foam products are combustible and will burn rapidly, consume oxygen and produce toxic gases (primarily oxides of carbon and nitrogen). Maintain good housekeeping practices. Do not allow foam scrap of dust to accumulate in the workplace or in equipment. Section 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Exposure Guidelines: A. General Product Information There are no specific exposure limits established for this product. Treat dusts as Particles Not Otherwise Classified (PNOC). B. Component Exposure Limits ACGIH TLV: 10 mg/m³ as inhalable fraction 3 mg/m³ as respiration fraction OSHA PEL: 50 mppcf or 15 mg/m 3 as total dust 15 mppcf or 5 mg/m³ as respiration fraction Engineering Controls: Local mechanical ventilation when hot-wire cutting, heat scaling, flame laminating or for processes where fumes, smoke or dusts are generated. Personal Protective Equipment: Eye/Face: Approved safety glasses/eye protection is recommended when processing material. Respiratory: No special equipment required. If fumes, smoke or dusts are generated use NIOSH approved respiratory protective equipment. There are no known health hazards associated with this material when used as designed. It is recommended employees wash thoroughly after handling the material. Wash before and after eating, smoking, drinking or using restroom facilities. Avoid breathing dusts. Section 9 - PHYSICAL & CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Appearance: Flexible cellular solid Odor: Negligible Odor Physical State: Polyurethane foam ph: Vapor Pressure (mmhg): Vapor Density (air =1): Density (lb/ft³): 0.8 5.0 Boiling Point: Melting Point: Solubility in Water: 3 P a g e

Section 10 - CHEMICAL STABILITY & REACTIVITY INFORMATION Chemical Stability: Conditions to Avoid: Incompatibility: Hazardous Decomposition Products: Hazardous Polymerization: Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage. Heat, flames, ignition sources and fluorine and fluorine/oxygen mixtures. Fine dusts may pose dust explosion hazard. Oxidizing agents. When heated to decomposition toxic gases (primarily oxides of nitrogen and carbon) may be produced. Has not been reported. Section 11 - TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION Eye: Other: Not considered a primary skin irritant. Not considered to be an eye irritant. Acute oral LD 50 for an aqueous extract for rats was >15,000 mg/kg. See Section 3 for Potential Health Effects. Section 12 - ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION No information available.
