Heat Transfer Fluids Dielectric Cooling Solutions for Electronics, Automotive, Aerospace and Robotics Applications DSI Ventures, Inc. 1320 Commerce Street Tyler, TX 75702 USA 903-526-7577 TECH@dsiventures.com www.dsiventures.com

Heat Transfer Fluids Advances in electronic motor and circuit design has focused interest on efficient cooling solutions. But beyond cooling efficiency, other characteristics of a heat transfer fluid also have to be considered, such as the fluid's impact on the environment and worker health. The choice of the right dielectric cooling fluid has never been more important. The next generation of technology can be cooled effectively and inexpensively with Fluids. Fluids are safe, proven and efficient solutions for high tech cooling applications. Fluids deliver proven cooling performance. Fluids are more than 98% biodegradable and are non-toxic, non-halogenated and don't deplete ozone. They're designed for 40 years of useful life and compatibility with system components. Fluids are used to cool electronic circuitry, high power vacuum tubes, in pressure compensation, underwater hydraulics, and automotive drivetrain motors. With five different fluids, each is tailored to solve the problems of special application. DSI Fluids are a family of low viscosity synthetic hydrocarbon dielectric heat transfer fluids. They're made for liquid-phase temperature control in specialty applications such as: Cooling and lubricating electric drivetrain motors Cooling power vacuum tubes in RF transmission equipment Immersion cooling of electrical circuitry Undersea pressure compensation and water displacement Ceramics poling There are five different Fluids, each made to attend to the special requirements of different applications. Each Fluid has excellent electrical characteristics, oxidation stability and materials compatibility, along with years of maintenance-free performance.

They are non-volatile and have virtually no smell. They have very low flammability, with high flash and fire points. Fluids are highly biodegradable - In standard tests, they biodegrade more than 98% in 28 days. Unlike halogenated heat transfer fluids: Fluids have Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). Fluids have Zero Global Warming Potential. Fluids have Zero Greenhouse Gas Emission Potential. Fluids don't cause health or skin problems with workers. Fluids are biodegradable. Fluids are non-toxic to marine and animal life. Although accidental spills of Fluids to the environment should be cleaned in accordance with applicable guidelines, Fluids biodegrade easily and demonstrate no long term threat to the environment. In case of any spill, DSI

recommends the application of proper recovery, recycling and/or disposal procedures. Applicable Temperature Range for Fluids PH-5 87252C -H -A -80-30 20 70 120 170 220 Temperature, C. Material Compatibility In 12 years of use in challenging and demanding applications, DSI Fluids have been proven to be compatible with a wide variety of materials used in electronic circuitry and heat transfer systems. Fluids are compatible with circuit board and component materials. Fluids are less aggressive to these components than are other oils, solvents, or heat transfer chemicals. Fluids are compatible with most gasket materials and with a wide variety of plastic insulations and phenolic, epoxy and formaldehyde resins.
