A few figures about Unapei Unapei is the main French NGO defending the rights and interests of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families. 550 local and regional organisations 60 000 families members of our member organisations, 80 000 staff members employed by our member organisations 3 100 specialised services 180 000 persons with disabilities supported by our member organisations
Several objectives, a project Unapei, as an umbrella organisation, gathers very diverse organisations, enabling mutualisation for the benefit of all. Unapei has several objectives: Ensure that intellectual disability is recognised, Lobby national and international decision-makers, Obtain the recognition and the protection of the role, rights, and needs of families, Inform and bring together our member organisations, and support them in their work.
Examples of fields of action Unapei provides support and advice to its member organisations. She also provides services and information to families in their membership, either individualised or via the publication of books Rights of persons with disabilities Social life of persons with disabilities (culture, leisure, sports, personal life, ) Access to holidays Insurance and assets management, Training, Work
