WHAT ARE PRE-STRESSED HOLLOW CORE SLABS? Hollow core slabs are pre-stressed panels constructed with hollow cores running from end-to-end and reinforced with pre-stressed high-tensile steel wires. This combination of hollowcores, high-strength concrete and pre-stressing, results in a relatively light-weight durable and strong panel. APPLICATIONS FLOORS: - flooring of multi-storey structures - balconies - suspended floors in areas of unstable ground VERTICAL APPLICATION - walls for buildings - retaining walls OTHER - strongroom walls and roofs - permanent shuttering - sport stadium, walkways SERVICES OFFERED BY PERFECT SLABS - Assistance with planning of a layout - The design of the floor panels only, should the client not enjoy the services of an Engineer - the transportation of units to site - the installation of units, and final levelling thereof - grouting of joints ADVANTAGES OF USING PERFECT SLABS - No shuttering or supports are required (propping) - No storage space is required - No labour cost involved in the construction of the floors - No time delay involved in the reaction and dismantling of shuttering and props - No time delay while floors are cast and cure - No risk of poor workmanship, the incorrect placing of reinforcements, of varying concrete mixed or of poorly compacted concrete - No ceilings are required - Saving on the weight of the floor

COMPANY Perfect Slabs is a supplier of Elematic SA en Shukuma Flooring Systems. We satisfy the demand for high quality, reliable products that are available within short lead times in an industy there the demand for building products is almost insatiable and completion times are short. Our suppliers supply the latest available technology in precast concrete products and set a new benchmark for the industry. ELEMATIC SA was established in South Africa in 2005. Their production facility received ISO 9001 certification in 2009 and their product is SABS approved. SHUKUMA design their Concrete Hollowcore Units according to SANS 0100 and according to the requirements of each structure for which they will be utilised. PERFECT SLABS is therefore backed by extensive knowledge and experience.
