SpeedShip User s Guide STARTING THE DAY 1) Open your Internet browser and go to: https://www.speedship.com 2) Type in you User Name and Password, and Click OK. PREPARING SHIPMENTS 1) Once logged in, you will be taken to the Prepare Shipment page. Enter the receiver shipment and billing information according to the screen prompts. All fields with an asterisk (*) are required. 2) For faster processing, use the Receiver ID feature to quickly recall Receivers previously saved in your address book.
3) If you are not sure what DHL service you want to select for the shipment, Click RATE ESTIMATE just above the Company Name on this page. A list of rate quotes will appear based on the information entered on the Prepare Shipment page. 4) Click Return to Shipment Page. 5) Once all information has been entered, click PRINT AIRBILL at the bottom of the Prepare Shipment page. (PRINT LATER is used to store the processed shipment to be printed at a later time. Unprinted shipments can be accessed by selecting Pending Shipments from the Prepare Shipment page). Note: Once the label is printed, the shipment will be invoiced, unless voided prior to Day End. VOIDING SHIPMENTS 1) On the Prepare Shipment page, select Pending Shipments. 2) Select the shipment(s) to be voided and then click VOID SELECTED. Alternatively, for a single shipment, select the VOID SHIPMENT button associated with the shipment to be voided.
EDITING SHIPMENTS 1) On the Prepare Shipment page, select Pending Shipments. 2) Select the shipment to be modified and then Click EDIT. 3) Make any desired changes. Note: When editing an already printed shipment, a new shipment number will be assigned to the shipment. Please destroy the original label, which is automatically voided. Charges will be assessed if the original (voided) label is tendered to DHL. DAY END Day End is the process by which DHL generates an invoice for shipments printed for the current pickup date. All printed shipments are invoiced unless voided. Day End occurs at 9:00pm, local time. SHIPMENT HISTORY The Shipment History list allows you to view and report on shipments created in SpeedShip within the past 90 days. You may also view and report on past shipments by selecting the Reports menu option. REPORTS There are two report options within SpeedShip. Each report may be viewed, printed or exported. Please note, additional formatting may be necessary once the exported file has been opened in your application. 1) The Shipment Summary report details the shipment count, total shipment weight and estimated shipping charges. 2) The Shipment Detail report offers sorting of up to three (3) fields and includes the detailed information regarding each shipment within the report. ADDRESS BOOK Save address book entries by selecting the Save To Personal Address Book (Receiver ID required) box on the Prepare Shipment page or by following these steps: 1) On the Prepare Shipment page, select Address Book from the top of the navigation pane. 2) Select Manage Addresses from the drop down list. 3) Select Add.
4) Enter a unique Receiver ID (nickname). The Receiver ID is limited to 35 characters in length. 5) Enter the remaining address and billing information. 6) Enter any preferences that are unique to this customer. 7) When finished, select SAVE CHANGES. To Edit a Receiver 1) Select the check box for the appropriate receiver and then Click Edit. 2) Modify the receiver information as appropriate and then Click SAVE CHANGES. To Delete a Receiver 1) Select the check box for the appropriate receiver and then Click Delete. To Import a Receiver List 1) On the Prepare Shipment page, first select Address Book from the top of the navigation pane, then select Import Addresses from the drop down list. 2) Refer to the help text for specification and file size.
PROFILE To change your user profile, select Account Setup from the top of the navigation pane, then select Profile from the drop down box. Make any changes to your contact information, change your password or setup additional sender addresses. When finished, Click Save. Note: User ID s and account numbers can not be changed. SHIPPING PREFERENCE To change your default shipping preferences, on the Prepare Shipment page, first select Account Setup from the top of the navigation pane, then select Preferences from the drop down box. Modify any of your default shipping preferences as appropriate and the Click Save. TRACKING Two options for tracking your shipment(s) exist. 1) On the Prepare Shipment page, select Ship from the top of the navigation pane, then select Shipment History from the drop down box. Select the shipment(s) to track and then Click TRACK SELECTED. Up to 25 shipments can be selected at one time. Or 2) Select Track Shipments from the drop down box under Services at the top of the navigation pane. SHIPPING & OPTION SERVICES Use the Ship menu to prepare a shipment, get rates and transit times, schedule pickups, order DHL supplies and locate DHL drop boxes.
