(b) EMD by Demand Draft/Bank Guarantee of Rs. 5000/ (EMD paid by way of Cheque will not acceptable). Page4of11 QUALIFYING CRITERIA: The contractors intending to participate shall fulfill the following qualification criteria, the bid may be rejected based on any one of the following reasons: 1. Only single Envelop (Technical Bid or Commercial Bid) received, 2. Details received by fax, 3. Unsigned Offer, 4. If the EMD (Bank Draft/Bank Guarantee) is not kept in the first envelope, 5. If you mention Total Amount in First Envelope Technical Bid (Total Amount must appear in Finance Bid Annexure IV only). 6. The Contractor shall have minimum 3 Years experience of civil work. 7. The Contractor should have PAN No. allocated by income tax department. The contractor shall submit latest income tax return submitted in the IT Department as per the statutory provisions. Page5of11 TERMS & CONDITIONS: 1. The bidders should quote their rate per Sq. feet Only. 2. The EMD of the bidder will be forfeited, if the bidder withdraws his tender after opening of the tender. 3. Firms should quote their rates (inclusive of all Govt.Taxes) as per BOQ, after visiting the site of work. No telegraphic or faxed bid will be acceptable. 4. The Jobs must be completed within 30 days after issuance of work orders. 5. No transportation and carriage/ mobilization charges will be allowed. 6. TDS & work contract tax will be deducted at source as per Government Rules. 7. The work, if done below prescribed specifications/standard, will not be accepted and the Firm concerned will have to do it again at his own risk and cost. 8. The bid with lowest total cost conforming to specifications and terms & conditions prescribed intender document shall be considered for award of contract. 9. Disputes and Arbitration: 9.1. Settlement of Disputes: 9.1.1. The disputes and difference arising out of or in connection with services rendered and the performance of the contractor shall be referred to the Managing Director of FDDI. His decision with respect to interpretation of the situation shall be final, conclusive and binding on either party hereto and shall be without appeal. 9.1.2. All other disputes and differences of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the contractor the carrying out of the work (whether during the progress of the work or after its completion and whether before or after determination, abandonment or breach of the contract) shall be referred to the Managing Director of FDDI whose decision shall be final and binding on the parties. 9.2. Arbitration All disputes between the parties to the contract arising out of or in relation to the contract shall after written notice by either party to the contract to the other party, be referred to sole arbitration of the Managing Director, FDDI or his nominee. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the; Arbitration and Reconciliation Act. 1996. The parties to the contract understand and agree that it will be no objection that the Managing Director, FDDI or the person nominated as Arbitrator had earlier in his official capacity to deal directly or indirectly with the matters to which the contract relates or that in the course of his official duties had expressed views on all or any of the matters in dispute or difference. The award of the Arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties to this contract. In the event of the Arbitrator denying, neglecting or refusing to act or resigning or being unable to act for any reason or his award being set aside by the court for any reason, it shall be lawful for the Managing Director or his successor, as the case may be either to act himself as the Arbitrator or to appoint another Arbitrator in place of the outgoing Arbitrator in the manner aforesaid. The Arbitrator may, from time to time, with the consent of both the parties to the contract, enlarge the time for making the award. Work under the contract shall be continued during the arbitration proceedings. The venue of the arbitration shall be the place from which the contract is issued or such other place as the Arbitrator at his discretion may determine.

Removing old gypsum boards, cleaning surfaces and fixing channels and angles with correct position, Sq.Ft providing putty, applying one coat of white primers and paint finishing, are including materials and labours charges. Page11of11 ANNEXURE IV SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT The contractor will Supply and fixing of cooling tiles (or) applying Slit Concrete, Maintenance & Water proofing work on Roof top in Library at Chennai campus. The following services are required to be provided by the contract or during normal working hours. 1. Removing of Terrace Roof materials using the correct demolition properties as like (Drilling machine, Cutting machine, Breaker) to removing the all materials, mortar, brick jelly etc., and cleaning the surface using brushes, and extra concrete or mortar in the surface cleaned by using chipping process, all other completed work. 2. Option 1: Finishing Top of Roof with one course of Slit Concrete with thickness of 3 thick, 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound at 2% by weight of Cement used laying with the same cement concrete mixed with water proofing compound to mixed thoroughly to cement and provided to the surface and including Curing the materials surface at 14 days etc., as per Standard Specifications and all complete and as directed by the departmental officers. (OR) 3. Option 2: Finishing Top of Roof with fixing of approved superior Quality cooling tiles Size of (23cm x 23cm x 20mm), and 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound at 2% by weight of Cement used and pointed neatly with the same cement mortar mixed with water proofing compound to mixed thoroughly to cement and provided to the surface and including Curing the materials surface at 7 days etc., as per Standard Specifications and all complete and as directed by the departmental officers

Whereas the contractor has offered to enter in to contract with FDDI Chennai for the execution of work of Supply cooling tiles (or) applying Slit Concrete, Maintenance & Water proofing work on Roof top in Library at Chennai campus with supply of men & material and other associated works in FDDI Chennai in the terms and conditions here in contained and rates approved by FDDI Chennai(copy of Rates annexed) have been duly accepted and whereas the necessary Security Deposits have been furnished in accordance with the provisions of the tender document and whereas no interest will be claimed on the security deposit. Now these presents willingness and it is hereby agreed and declared by and between the parties to these presents as follows. 1. The contractor shall during the period of work here in after mentioned, safely carryout, by means of labors employed and material required at his own expenses and by means of tools, implements and equipment etc to be supplied by him to his labour at his own expenses & all documents (annexed to the agreement), whenever required by D.M.Maintenance. It is deemed to be understood by the contractor that the quantity of work mentioned on the schedule is likely to change as per actual requirements as demanded by exigencies of services. 2. The notice inviting Tender (NIT), Bid documents, Letter of intent. Approved rates, annexed here to and such other additional particulars, instructions, work orders as may found requisite to be given, during execution of the work shall be deemed and taken an integral part of the contract and shall _ also be deemed to be included in the expression. 3. The contractor shall also supply the requisite number of work men with men & materials as well as tools, appliance, machines, implements, vehicles for transportation, cartage etc., required for the proper execution of work within the time prescribed in the work orders. 4.
