TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE FOR WIRELESS INTELLIGENT SENSORS 10
TECHNOLOGY DATA TRANSFER TO CENTRALISED SERVERS This sensitive task can be done with a traditional wired Internet connection. Wired solutions normally face the problem of getting a network available. Normally IT Departments of end users don't make easily available their own connectivity. SSI tested many wireless solutions based on the GPRS standard. Basically it's the same technology developed and used by the first and second generation of mobile cell phones. GPRS connectivity is provided at European level (or worldwide upon request) by means of strategic partner of SSI. Security of data is guarantee by dedicated VPN. Low cost of roaming in various European Countries is guaranteed by primary communication providers. SSI signed an agreement to provide a full solution to its customer at a competitive price. 11
