Water & Wastewater Chemical Hazards Reactive Oxidizers Hydrogen Peroxide Liquid Permanganate Sodium Hypochlorite Hydrochloric Acid Strong oxidants react violently with combustible & reducing materials Prolonged or repeated skin contact can result in the development of rashes, welts, and other allergy-like symptoms. Hydrogen peroxide spills become combustible when they dry and will react with organic materials to cause fire. 8
