The embedment of FarmBoss in normal soil should be of granular material, free from rocks and other hard or sharp objects, with the maximum particle size of 20mm, preferably in the particle size range of 14mm. The recommended minimum thickness of compacted bedding (lb ) is 100mm for sizes up to 375mm diameter and 150mm for 450mm diameter. To ensure good support to the bedding, side supports and overlay to a minimum thickness (la ) of 150mm are constructed, compacting the bedding material in layers of not more than 150mm. Minimum trench width (B) 225mm diameter 0.56m 300mm diameter 0.75m 375mm diameter 0.84m 450mm diameter 1.13m Minimum Cover (H) FarmBoss installed under areas not subject to traffic or heavy loads 0.30m FarmBoss installed under areas zoned for agriculture use 0.60m FarmBoss installed under roads (unsealed) or subject to heavy loads 0.75m Hydraulic Performance The smart design of FarmBoss incorporates a supersmooth inner wall lining, which results in excellent flow characteristics.
