6 Load carrying walls must be designed by a qualified engineer TERRAFORCE Concrete Retaining Blocks (CRB) are factory made hollow units of uniform strength and dimensions. They have been substantially tested and analyzed under field and laboratory conditions and are manufactured under licensee by reputable manufacturers on five continents. Please note: When building composite walls of any significant height, it is of crucial importance to consult with an experienced engineer. International law is very strict on these matters, stating that a wall can be built to a height of 1.2m without consulting an engineer, yet any steeper and especially load carrying walls must be designed by a qualified engineer, EVEN if only 1.2m high.

12 What the experts say about Terraforce: Says Simon Knutton, owner and engineer at Knutton Consulting on specifying Terraforce L16 blocks and Terraforce 4 4 Multi Step blocks for 3 clover leaf interchanges in Qatar: Due to the four loops at each interchange being different the Client requested that each interchange design be unique. The challenge was to be creative, functional (for maintenance), keep aesthetic appeal and to maintain the structural integrity required. This kind of variation could not have been achieved with the precast walls originally proposed. As a result, the walls showcase the remarkable design flexibility that is possible with a Terraforce block, by alternating between a flush, round or rock face finish, varied setbacks for a featuresque appearance, integrated steps and good plant cover.
