An online and centralized automation asset management system, PRM helps both operators and maintenance personnel prevent downtime, and reduces maintenance costs for operational excellence. With PRM and intelligent field devices, operators and maintenance personnel can monitor the condition of plant assets remotely. Complete Device Integration via Fieldbus Simplifying Plant Automation All field devices connect to the host system via FOUNDATION fieldbus H1. This fieldbus transmits data with high accuracy and power via a single two-wire cable to up to 31 devices per segment. FieldConnex provides the infrastructure: power supplies, installation equipment and accessories for a reliable connection between any field device and the Yokogawa CENTUM system. The entire installation is continuously monitored by the Advanced Diagnostic Module integrated in the FieldConnex power supply. The Advanced Diagnostic Module Advanced Diagnostics Module (ADM) for FOUNDATION fieldbus by Pepperl+Fuchs The FieldConnex Advanced Diagnostic Module (ADM) for the FieldConnex Power Hub system provides real-time monitoring and local data storage of physical layer values for up to four fieldbus segments. It automatically triggers alarm messages and allows easy node commissioning and remote access for troubleshooting. The Advanced Diagnostic Module, in conjunction with the Diagnostic Manager, allows live monitoring from the control room or remotely by an off-site fieldbus expert. To aid in troubleshooting, the ADM offers specifics on network characteristics such as crosstalk/noise, signal jitter, and resonance and can pinpoint exact problems on the physical layer. A powerful integrated oscilloscope provides a detailed view on network communication and significantly enhances troubleshooting. Fieldbus-specific triggers enable the fieldbus engineer to troubleshoot complex errors that would be otherwise hard to find. The ADM and Diagnostic Manager supply everything necessary for quick diagnosis and a faster repair time. The ADM communicates via the industry-standard RS485 network to provide a robust independent network ensuring that your physical layer structure is not affected by tools connected directly to the segment. Unlike other monitoring systems, ADM always remains passive and independent of the segment. It frees up your host inputs and ensures the maximum bandwidth is available on each segment, while ensuring the most accurate monitoring and analysis of your fieldbus.
