Kirtipur Village, Nawalparasi Distance From : 150 KM (Nawalparasi) Approximate Time Travel by Bus: 5 hour Nawalparasi Adaptation to Landslides, Flooding and Siltation Loss of water resources due to landslide. Landslide in Kirtipur (up-stream) used to cause flooding in 'Boulaha' River at downstream. Heavy stones carried in flood sometime block water flow and diverted into the land and settlements in Padampur Village. The term 'Boulaha' means mad river, because it tends to flood without prediction-flood occur not only in monsoon season. The huge area of fertile land at the downstream in Padampur used to be barren due to siltation in flooding.
