Salesforce is a central system to Ambition School Leadership and plays a critical role within the Ambition s technology ecosystem. After the merger in Nov 2016, we spent almost a year consolidating two Salesforce platforms- now going forward this role will be responsible for ensuring that we have a stable and future proof Salesforce instance which is fit for purpose for the organisation. You will be responsible for project managing the rollout of any new additions/changes and enhancements to Salesforce in a controlled and careful manner, adopting the right methodology and engaging with the correct stakeholders at all times. You must be an experienced project manager with CRM experience (favourable if you have Salesforce experience) who is able to manage a complex instance, demanding stakeholders
Role requirements (often with conflicting and challenging views) and work alongside a development team. You must drive and adhered to best practice and have an interest in Salesforce. This is a great opportunity for an experienced project manager to come on board to be involved in Salesforce projects which will transform the way we work and help build efficiency into our processes Includes some limited evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given. Occasional travel across the regions required. Key responsibilities Project Management Lead on the full project management life cycle for projects in Salesforce Lead on the discovery phase- understand the vision and programme tools Identify where the key pain points are in Salesforce and align initiatives and solutions Lead on requirements building, design, development and implementation of our existing platforms and the new platform Produce all necessary documentation including plans throughout the process Drive projects using Agile, waterfall or mixed approaches as appropriate Continuously manage stakeholder expectations in systems delivery Train users on new developments and produce relevant training guides Positively manage challenges faced during the project Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately, including weekly reporting Ensure issues and risks are identified, proactively managed and reported as required Excellent communicator who is able to talk positively about the project, create engagement and excitement Redesign or improve our Salesforce processes of key objects to ensure that we are following best practice and being smart in the way we use Salesforce Be willing to challenge our technical resource on technical design to ensure quality and excellence in all that we do Strategy
Support and help to define the vision and strategy for our Salesforce Instance and external facing applications to ensure long term organisational goals are achieved, while advising how best to achieve this. Work closely with the Head of Technology Change and the Leadership Programmes team to set the vision along with the strategy for the external facing applications Lead on exploring technologies which can support the organisation s mission while being pragmatic and understanding the potential challenges Project Manage changes to existing external facing platforms which are used by participants on Ambition programmes and programme alumni. Research and explore the market on what else is available and be willing to share learnings with the team Supplier Management If needed, lead a tender process for the online portal to ensure we have the best resources on the project Manage third parties, ensuring we have the best of resources on the projects Ensure all supplier contracts are adhered to at all times Create resource plans and be able to make a strong business case for extra resource needs, if required Existing Platforms Continue managing any changes on the existing platform whilst the new build is taking place Be the go to person for any technical issues and provide resolutions Be able to assess all change requests and provide recommendations Security & Best Practice Ensure that applications delivered are secure and comply with data protection laws (GDPR from May 2018) Research and build relationships with other organisations who are doing similar projects to us Person specification Qualities/qualifications Education: educated to degree level or A levels plus extension experience This post is subject to receipt of two satisfactory references and proof of qualifications Right to work in the UK
