Our Machines Are Easy to Use We understand some of the labor challenges facing shipping managers today. That's why we have spent a considerable amount of effort developing new technologies to make the job of stretchwrapping your loads easier and easier. We also know that there may be more than one person operating the stretch wrapper, so it is critical that your machines are easy to use. 165 cm diameter turntable We use a 165 cm turntable for mostly all comment pallet sizes. E-Z Thread Gate Vs. Top Latching Gate With the EZ thread gate, no threading is required. Replenishing the film supply has never been quicker, easier, or safer than with Lantech s EZ Thread Film delivery system. Old technology top-latching gates provide less access and have a tendency for the door to unlatch during the wrap cycle. Difficult To Adjust Controls Vs. Easy To Use Adjustments can be easily made to your wrap patterns from the control panel without using a computer. No need to buy extra equipment or software. Colors coded controls meet CE safety and Ansi safety standards and are easy to identify and understand. This simplifies operator training and makes adjustments quick and easy.

Our Machines Are Safe We have always considered safety in our equipment design. The following are just a few examples of how we make our products safe to use. Closed mast Exposed wires and sharp metal edges compromise safety, so we've eliminated those hazards with our enclosed mast design. Guarded Vs. Unguarded Roll Carriage Hands can easily get caught in a non-guarded roll carriage... a risk we've greatly reduced by placing guards on Lantech's Q-Series machine Belts Vs. Chains We moved away from chain-driven roll carriages for safety. Our counter-weighted, belt driven roll carriage has minimal downward pressure and even has a built in safety sensor to shut the machine down in case it encounters an obstruction. Older technology uses closedloop, chain drive that powers the roll carriage down, potentially crushing anything under it.

We have designed many features in our stretch wrappers to give you the confidence that your stretch wrapper will wrap cycle after cycle with no scheduled maintenance required. The following features were designed to give you the reliability that you need: Bearing of the turntable No Metal Metal contact Belt Drive System Vs. Chain And Sprocket Our Kevlar reinforced belt drive system does not require maintenance and will not stretch or rot. A chain can jump the sprocket if not properly lubed and adjusted periodically. Power Roller-Stretch Film Delivery System Vs. Other Film Delivery Systems The Power Roller-Stretch system allows the film to wrap 180 around the film rollers, with a "W" threading pattern ensuring a reliable stretch without slippage and film breaks. This assures the highest level of film efficiency and economy. Older technology has unsupported gaps, minimal wrap around can cause neck down and film breaks.

Structural Steel Mast Vs. Other Mast Designs The Q-300 mast is made of rugged structural steel tubing. The ABS panels are removable for easy access and the components are enclosed for safety. Other mast designs have unprotected components, which expose personnel to safety risks. Loading Ramp If your product is loaded with a pallet jack, a ramp is necessary to allow you to roll the pallet onto the turntable for easy loading. If you later decide to use fork trucks, you can still use the ramp or it can be easily removed. A ramp will add 4 feet to your machine on the side where it is positioned. Customer has the option to place the ramp in three positions on a Q-Semi automatic and two positions on a QXT. Extended Wrap Height The standard Q-Series will wrap loads up to 2032mm tall. For loads taller than 80 inches, you will need this option to allow you to wrap loads up to 2794mm tall. This option gives you the same quality upright steel frame with easy access removable covers, only 762mm taller. A custom option for a 3556mm wrap height is also available. NOTE: The 280mm steel frame upright ships lying down on the skid and will need to be lifted in place at your facility. Automatic Film Cut-Off Standard on Q-300 Valuable operator time is saved with this option because the operator does not have to get off the forktruck to cut off the film after the load is finished wrapping. We estimate that it will save approximately 30 seconds per load.

Top Sheet Wrap Loads that could benefit from a top sheet for protection from dust or moisture can be easily wrapped with a Q-Series machine. With this option, the stretch wrapper will wrap to the top of the load, then move down a few inches, allowing someone to place a top sheet on the load. The machine then goes back to the top and wraps the corners of the top sheet, making the load moisture resistant. Some of our customers also use this feature when they apply a top sheet as a dust cover for their loads. One Way Wrap Stretch wrapping using only one layer of film is accomplished by wrapping from the bottom to the top of the load and stopping. When the next load is placed on the turntable, the load is wrapped from the top of the load to the bottom of the load. This applies only one layer of film for each load that is wrapped versus the more traditional two way wrapping. The roll carriage can be returned so that the one way wrapping always begins at the bottom if desired. Many customers that choose to apply only one layer of stretchwrap film do so for a couple of reasons: (1) If the product only needs to be covered for dust or wrapped lightly. (2) To increase throughput. If your load can be contained with only one layer (usually loads that have been previously contained with strapping or are under approximately 200 lbs.) your process could benefit from One Way Wrap. The One Way Wrap option does not double throughput because the wrap cycle still includes top and bottom wraps. <> Wrap Cycle Pause This option is helpful if you need to place shipping labels, stacking instructions, etc. to your pallet load. Pressing the Cycle Pause button temporarily stops the wrap cycle so an operator can place the information on the load. When the operator presses the button again, the cycle continues. Forktruck Bumper Forktruck Bumper guides attach to turntable, acting as bumpers to assist forktruck operator in approaching the turntable and centering the load. Dual Turntable Performance Option The dual turntable option allows the operator to place the unwrapped load on a second turntable while the other load is being wrapped. This significantly reduces the handling of the product load, which increases throughput, productivity and safety.

Q-300 Semi-Automatic Stretch Wrapper Key areas of preparation to ensure a smooth installation. Check Dock Door Dimensions The shipping dimensions for the standard Q-Series machine are 2921Lx2464Hx1727W, including the pallet. If you anticipate any tight-fit problems with your dock doors, especially heightwise, be prepared to do one of the following: Take the machine off the pallet, then bring through doors. Machine can be partially disassembled, but only by a certified Lantech service representative. Check Electrical Service A dedicated, 220 VAC, 16 AMP, 50/60 Hz, single phase grounded power source is required. DO NOT USE extension cords. The power cord that is attached to the machine is 10 feet in length, so please ensure the power source and the machine are located within this distance. Unloading Requirements Once the machine arrives, it is necessary for the customer to handle the unloading, uncrating, and initial placement of the machine prior to the startup and training process. Recommended tools for uncrating: Forklift Claw hammer Crow bar 10 mm hex tool 9/16 hex wrench Refer to the machine manual for detailed instructions on uncrating and installation procedures for your machine. Operator/Maintenance Training To maximize equipment operation uptime, it is essential to have operators and maintenance personnel at the training sessions, when scheduled with the distributor. Sample Loads And Film Testing For the machine start-up and training, be sure to have film on hand and samples of all pallet load variations (smallest / largest, odd shaped loads, light/dark -colored loads, tallest load).
