(the Sweepstakes ) is a text entry and online entry monthly Sweepstakes that begins on 1/25/16 at 12:00:00 AM (CT) and ends on 12/31/16 at 11:59:59 PM (CT) ( Promotion Period ). For purposes of these Official Rules, a Month is defined as a standard calendar month during the Promotion Period beginning on the first day of the month and ending on the last day of the month. 2. WHO MAY ENTER. Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who derive their primary source of income in the crop growing industry, are legal residents of the forty eight (48) continental United States and District of Columbia at the time of entry; except where prohibited (void in FL, NY); and are 18 years old or older. Employees, officers and directors of Dow AgroSciences, and Farm Journal, Inc. (collectively, the Sponsors ), and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, dealers, sales representatives, distributors and advertising and promotion agencies ( Promotion Entities ), as well as, their immediate family members and/or persons living in the same household of each are not eligible to enter. 3. HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES. There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes: A. MOBILE DEVICE ENTRY: You must have a text-enabled/webenabled mobile device and text-enabled service and web-enabled mobile service in order to enter via this method. During the Promotion Period, from a mobile device, text the word CROP ( Keyword ) and your Crop Comments of at least fifty (50) characters of text to 31313 ( Short Code ) expressing the challenges of growing each season, along with an original photo of your crop. After sending the text message, you will receive up to two (2) Thank You reply text messages in response from Dow AgroSciences to confirm your submission. The text messaging component of the Sweepstakes is designed to work with most of the major mobile carriers in the United States, but the Sponsors make no guarantee that any particular mobile service provider will participate, and the mobile phone that is used must be capable of sending and receiving text messages. Check with your carrier for details. Entrants should check their phone s features to see if they
have that capability. Mobile service providers may charge entrants for each text message, including any error message that is sent and received in connection with the Sweepstakes, based on the applicable mobile service pricing plan. Message and data rates may apply. Entrants should consult their mobile service provider s pricing plan for details. Sending a text message will not improve your chance of winning. By submitting a text entry, entrants grant permission to the Sponsors to notify them via up to two (2) return text messages and must agree to accept all applicable charges associated therewith. You are responsible for all applicable fees and taxes associated with placing a text message. The Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may add or delete a mobile carrier at any time, without notice. After you click on "submit" you will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. Sponsors) assume no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or connections that are human or technical in nature. Sponsors are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding the individual who actually submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account. All online participants must have a valid email address. No automated entry devices, bots and/or other programs and/or software are permitted for entry. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsors and will not be returned. By entering a submission, entrants grant right of use of any submitted photos, comments, name, city and state information of entrants on Farm Journal Broadcast properties and online. The Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled entries, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind, whether mechanical, human or electronic. Promotion Entities shall not be responsible for
incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. Promotion Entities assume no responsibility or liability for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Only fully completed entries are eligible. If, due to programming, production or other errors, more prizes are awarded and/or claimed than intended, the intended Sweepstakes prize will be awarded in a random drawing from all those submitting purportedly valid claims. No more than the number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. All potential winning entries are subject to verification by the Sponsors, whose decisions are final and binding. A screen shot is not proof or evidence of entry. A participant is not a winner of any prize, even if the Website, Mobile Website and/or a confirmation text message/email should so indicate, unless and until said participant s eligibility has been verified and said participant has been notified that verification is complete. The Sponsors will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process. Any entry that occurs after the system has failed for any reason is deemed a defective entry and is void and will not be honored. Limit one (1) Entry per person, per day regardless of method of entry. Multiple entries from an entrant must be significantly different from one another. Repeat postings of the same text and/or photo will not be accepted; and entries that are considered duplicates in the Sponsors sole discretion will be considered void.. Entries in excess of the daily entry limit will be deemed void. The Sponsors are not responsible for any change of mailing address and/or telephone number of participants. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a participant in the Sweepstakes, participation will be deemed completed by the authorized account holder of the email address or mobile telephone number provided at the time of participation. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address or mobile telephone number by an Internet access provided, online service provider, wireless carrier or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address or mobile telephone number. The potential winner may be required to provide the Sponsors with proof that
he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address or wireless account associated with the winning entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved to the Sponsors satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible. 4. RANDOM DRAWING: During the Promotion Period, eligible entries will be featured on Farm Journal Broadcast properties, social properties and online on AgWeb.com. Eligible entries will also be included into the respective Monthly Grand Prize drawing. Each Month, one (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted on or about the first business day of the following Month among all featured eligible entries received from all methods combined for the Sweepstakes by the Sponsors or its designee, whose decisions are final and binding. Non-winning Monthly entries will automatically rollover into any subsequent Monthly drawings. 5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: If you are a potential Sweepstakes winner, you will be notified via text, email message or phone call, at Sponsors discretion, that will provide details on how to claim the prize. If the potential Monthly Grand Prize winner does not claim the prize within seventy-two (72) hours from the first attempted notification, the potential winner may forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected. The potential Monthly Grand Prize winner will be sent the Winner Documents for completion and return to the Sponsors fulfillment provider in order to claim the prize (see rule #8 for details). PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV)/ODDS: Twelve (12) Monthly Grand Prizes (one (1) prize per Month during the Promotion Period) (1) $100 Cabella s Gift Card per month. Total ARV of all prizes $1,200. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions associated with their use. Odds of winning the Monthly Grand Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received from all methods combined each Month for the Sweepstakes. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
