1 Introduction Description This document is created as a step-by-step guide to demonstrate how to quickly configure App Finder in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise. By reading this document you will be able to understand the main activities required to activate App Finder and some of the common errors and solutions. System prerequisites SAP S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise with Gateway Hub Installation Technical Activation of Fiori Launchpad has been concluded Fiori Administrator Roles have been assigned to your user Target group Target group requirements System Administrators Security Administrators. RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 5

2 Important Considerations Background SAP Fiori Launchpad for S/4HANA 1610 can integrate various UX application technologies. Amongst these technologies, we can find: SAP UI5 SAP Web Dynpro/FPM ABAP SAP GUI for HTML In the current S/4HANA releases not all SAP GUI standard transactions are available as a standard SAP Fiori Apps using any of the technologies listed above, this means you will find some cases where you will need to define an alternate approach to expose standard or custom backend functionality in Fiori Launchpad. This approach needs to be based on User Role definitions and Fiori Launchpad design provided by your UX Implementation Team. Prerequisites Required transaction exists as Web Dynpro/FPM or SAP GUI for HTML You have analyzed and identified the required subset of transactions required for a specific user role so the amount of applications exposed through this method is minimal. RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 6

General Recommendations The app finder displays the following tabs where you can find all the apps available for your role: Catalog - A repository of all the Fiori UI5 apps that are assigned by your administrator to your role User Menu - A customized menu that includes folders of those SAP GUI transactions and Web Dynpro ABAP apps assigned to your role in a specific backend system. SAP Menu - A standard menu delivered by SAP that includes folders of all SAP GUI transactions and Web Dynpro ABAP apps offered by a particular SAP system. This menu is not role-dependent and therefore displays the same content for all users this means you need to be aware of any security risks generated by exposing this functionality. You can hide the SAP Menu and User Menu in the App Finder using Launchpad Configuration Parameters You are aware of the Restrictions in SAP Fiori visual theme for classic applications in SAP Note 2348661 You are aware of the Restrictions for using SAP GUI for HTML and SAP Note 314568 You are aware of the display adjustments that may be needed to render an application using Belize Theme described in the Configuration Guidelines RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 7

3 App Finder Basic Configuration Step/Description Screenshot 1. Enter transaction /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE and activate the following OData Services: /UI2/EASY_ACCESS_MENU /UI2/USER_MENU **NOTE: Make sure you assign your backend system alias to both OData services. In our scenario, the required system alias is S4QCLNT210 RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 8

2. Enter Fiori Launchpad Designer and create a new catalog in (remember to assign a transport order or define as local object). In this case our custom catalog name would be ZEASY_ACCESS (you can name your catalog as you wish) **NOTE: Access Fiori Launchpad Designer using the following url: http://<host>.<domain>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html?sapclient=<client>?scope=cust. You need Fiori Launchpad Administrator Roles to perform these modifications. RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 9

3. Define a new Target Mapping for WebGUI Transactions (make sure you define the system alias name assigned in Step 1) **NOTE Make sure you define the values exactly as indicated: Parameter Semantic Object Action Application Type Title Transaction Device Types Value Shell startgui Transaction <Any> <Any> Desktop Additional Parameters Name Mandatory Value Is Regular Expression sap-system Checked <System Alias defined in step 1> Not Checked sap-ui2-tcode Checked.* Checked Allow Additional Parameters Not Checked RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 10

4. Define a new Target Mapping for Webdynpro Apps (make sure you define the system alias name assigned in Step 1) **NOTE Make sure you define the values exactly as indicated: Parameter Semantic Object Action Application Type Title Transaction Device Types Value Shell startwda Web Dynpro <Any> <Any> Desktop Additional Parameters Name Mandatory Value Is Regular Expression sap-system Checked <System Alias defined in step 1> Not Checked sap-ui2-wd-appid Checked.* Checked Allow Additional Parameters Checked RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 11

5. In your Frontend Server create two additional RFC s in transaction SM59 following the next naming syntax: <System Alias Defined in Step 1> + _RFC <System Alias Defined in Step 1> + _HTTPS **NOTE In this case we are using suffix _HTTPS as the system is configured to use SSL, you may use suffix _HTTP in case your system is not configured for SSL. RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 12

4 Create Custom PFCG Role Step/Description Screenshot 1. In transaction PFCG create a new Role containing the Catalog ID PFCG Menu Object: SAP Fiori Tile Catalog Catalog ID: ZEASY_ACCESS Once the Role has been created assign it to your user(s). **Note In this scenario the Catalog ID and Role Name are the same: ZEASY_ACCESS RIG Step-by-step guide to enable Easy Access Menu in S/4HANA 1610 On-Premise P a g e 13
