THE JACKSONVILLE LANDING FARMERS AND ARTS MARKET Produce, Arts and Crafts Vendor Guidelines and Application Form (All new vendors are required to bring all the 6 pages of this application to the Market Manager during market hours) MARKET HOURS THE JACKSONVILLE LANDING FARMERS AND ARTS MARKET is open every FRIDAY, rain or shine from 10AM to 2PM all year round. All Vendors must arrive early to set up before the market opens, preferably before 9am. Set up hours are between 8AM TO 9.30AM. All booths should be set up and vendors ready to sell at 10AM. The market does not end until 2PM. NO vendor will be allowed to start packing until 2 PM. BOOTH SPACES AND COST All vendors are required to bring their own tent. No vendor cars or trucks will be allowed inside the market area during market hours. Each vendor will get a 10 by 10 space. The space will be enough to put up your tent. Vendors will provide their own table, table cloth and the products that they will be selling, props, professionally done signage and banners where applicable. It is a requirement to have weights on your tent at all times. They help hold down your tents and ensure safety due to heavy winds and rain. All Vendor Application Forms must be handed over to the market manager before setting up. The cost to set up as a vendor is $15.00 for each market per booth payable on the same day that you set up. We prefer that you pay the $15 in cash but we do accept checks as well. The money will be collected by the market manager on each market day before the market is over. Page 1 of 6

MARKET LOCATION, LOADING AND UNLOADING THE JACKSONVILLE LANDING FARMERS AND ARTS MARKET is conveniently located at front of The Jacksonville Landing facing Independent Drive. After unloading, all vendors are required to park their cars and/or trucks away from the market location. Please ask the Market Manager for the designated Vendors parking area. You will need to get a Parking Pass from the Market Manager. At any time, the Market Manager and the Jacksonville Landing management have the right to change the date, hours or the location of the market. The date, hours or location of the market could be affected any time the Jacksonville Landing has large event, a car or boat sale or any other large Landing related activity that requires the Market Area to be used. 10 PER CENT DISCOUNT TO ALL PERSONS WHO WORK IN DOWNTOWN Our goal as the Market organizer is to bring as many customers to the market as possible and on a regular basis and especially those who work in Jacksonville downtown where the market is located. The best way to ensure customer loyalty and to build a huge customer base is by giving them a reason to continue coming to our farmers market even during the hot months of summer. All vendors are required to give a 10% discount to all persons who work Jacksonville downtown. This will allow them to save 10 per cent on ANY item that they purchase from ANY vendor at THE JACSONVILLE LANDING FARMERS AND ARTS MARKET. The customers will need to show you the company s or employs badge before you can give them the 10 per cent discount on any purchase. A 10 per cent discount cannot hurt your business and it will only help to keep the market customers coming back so that they can save more and more. They will have to show their employee or company badge each and every time they shop with you. Initial here if you agree to comply with this discount program ELECTRICITY AND CLEANUP Electricity will be available on request with advance reservations with the Market Manager. Vendors who require power at their booth must provide their own extension cords that meet electric code requirements (grounded 3-prong plug and heavy-duty wire size). Each vendor is required to leave their booth area clean after the market closes for the day. Please bring your own trash can which you can take home with you after the end of the market day. All vendors are responsible for cleaning up their booth space at the end of the day and those who do not do so will be penalized. The Landing does have a trash compactor that you can empty your trash. The Market Manager will direct you to this area. Page 2 of 6

TENTS, SIGNAGE, PROPS, BANNERS, BUSINESS CARDS, BROCHURES, TABLES, CHAIRS AND TABLE CLOTHS. You will need to bring your own tent, table(s) and chair(s) since this will be an outdoor event. All signs, props, banners and stands for displaying or advertising your work will need to be done professionally. We highly recommend that you have a sign that has your company name on the middle top section of your booth. The Market Manger also requires each booth to have brochures and business cards on a business card holder so that customers can know more about your company and how to contact you after the market. All boxes or any other items that will be used to carry your merchandise in and out and to store your products must be neatly tucked away behind the tables, clean and covered with a NEAT/CLEAN table cloth that spreads all the way to the ground. A tablecloth is REQUIRED on each display table at all times! BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS The Market Manager has the full right to make or change the booth assignments weekly based on several factors. The host of the farmers market, the Jacksonville Landing, has very decent foot traffic on Fridays and any location at the farmers market should be a great location for any vendor booth. Vendors may change from week to week, and the Market Manager has the right to re-assign booths to avoid two similar categories side by side, when possible. Therefore, please be aware that each vendor might not have the same booth location every Saturday. Trading or swapping booth spaces is highly prohibited. Booths must be staffed by an adult during all the market hours. RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. All Vendors who plan to exhibit must bring in their completed and signed Vendor Application Form during market hours. Vendors who sell ready to eat foods are NOT allowed. 2. If you are an existing vendor and you no longer have the ability to continue being a vendor, please mention it to the Market Manager or email us beforehand so that he can assign the space to another vendor on the waitlist. 11.
