SINCE 1954 TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED LOGISTICS

Beginnings Successful Track Record Founded in 1954, Southern Michigan Cold Storage grew to become a successful, multi-facility public refrigerated warehouse (PRW) serving fruit and vegetable growers. Like most PRWs, Southern Michigan Cold Storage specialized in keeping products safe and cold, real cold. Growers brought their blueberries, cherries and blanched vegetables for blast freezing, mixing and annual storage. In addition to great customer service, Southern Michigan Cold Storage expanded through acquisition of nearby competitors and by building new facilities, including two in northern Indiana to serve the pork industry. In 1989, to help fund this expansion, Tri-State Investments became a major stockholder in the privately held company. Tri-State Investments was headed by Merlin Hanson, who eventually purchased the company outright, changing the name to Hanson Cold Storage. Our commitment to our grower community remains steadfast. Incorporates as Southern Michigan Cold Storage Co. 1954 Constructs Benton Harbor warehouse. 1955-62 Expands Benton Harbor and Hart warehouses. 1970-72 Purchases Duffy Mott Company p in Hartford Michigan. 1979 1955 Freezer additions and dry storage are added. 1969 Purchases Vroom Cold Storage, Hart, Michigan. 1973 Constructs refrigerated warehouse in Logansport, Indiana Opens facility in South Bend, IN.

Achievements National Distribution In 2005, we broadened our service beyond commodity storage to assist our customers with transportation and national distribution. This ambitious paradigm shift in our business model, changing our name to Hanson Logistics, included building an experienced, top-flight logistics management team, developing transportation management services for refrigerated LTL and truckload, and operating a support fleet under Hanson Xpress. Since opening in 2007, the Chicago Consolidation Center is the nucleus of the company s Velocities Multi-Vendor Consolidation Program. The Chicago facility has undergone two expansions. Among our recent milestones: 8 Achieved Excellent ASI audit scores 8 Expanded WMS and TMS technologies 8 Began national distribution through Velocities Multi-Vendor Consolidation 8 Completed Chicago Phase I, II, III and IV 8 Accepted as Walmart Vendor Pool #391 8 Awarded several direct-store door delivery programs 8 Named Top 100 Food Logistics Providers the lant, Purchases processing plant/freezer adjacent Benton Harbor warehouse. 1984 Tri-State Investments, Inc. becomes majority shareholder. 1989 Merlin Hanson elected Chairman of the Board. 1991 Purchases Koops Freezer in Decatur, Michigan. 1994 Expands Lafayette, IN facility, begins consolidation service. 1999-2002 1980 Purchases additional freezer in Hartford, MI 1985 Purchases dry warehouse in Riverside, Michigan. 1990 Company enters the bagged ice business. 1993 Name changed to Hanson Cold Storage Co. 1995 Purchases a refrigerated warehouse in Lafayette, Indiana.

Vision We remain focused on our long-term strategy of remaining a leader in temperature-controlled warehousing and transportation: Chicago Consolidation Center 8 Continue to support our growers through investments in agricultural-related facilities with new, more efficient mechanical systems and build outs. 8 Expand our value-added services, such as mixing, consolidating and direct store delivery, along with dedicated transportation. 8 Offer customers the benefits of our collaborative transportation solutions and qualified carrier community. 8 Seek out and partner with companies who value zerodefect order fulfillment and delivery as key to their success. 8 Leverage our transportation expertise to help mitigate the unsettling and costly affects of capacity cycles that have disrupted our industry. 8 Remain a privately held, profitable organization with the ability to assume large, complex supply chain projects. When the phone rings for help, we answer Yes, We Can! Changes name to Hanson Logistics. Rolls out Velocities MVC Adds company owned truck fleet; begins dedicated transportation. 2005 Receives approval as Walmart Third Party Consolidator.
