Basic data Animal Farming Ukraine was rich with programme of conferences and seminars, which attracted key industry players and provided them with information on recent trends in livestock and poultry. Exhibition programme at Animal Farming Ukraine 2011: The exhibition included an extensive business programme of conferences, seminars and master classes on the latest trends and development issues in livestock and poultry production. On 4 October, a master class on the dairy business by Ukrainian Dairy Company and STOV Promin, organised by the magazine Cattle Today. The teams of the two livestock farms shared their experiences of working effectively in the dairy business. On the same day, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, there was held a seminar entitled Dutch-Ukrainian cooperation in dairy farming and practical advice for dairy herd care. The magazine Modern Veterinary Medicine held a seminar on Veterinary aspects in the efficient breeding of farm animals: an integrated approach. The seminar looked at the modern epizootic situation and biosafety in growing farm animals, and diagnostics and prevention of diseases in cattle and pigs. Other events in the business programme included a conference entitled Agrarian Country: Profitable Quail, the 2nd International Conference for Efficient Pig Farming, and a seminar by the company Servolux Genetics.

At the Animal Farming Ukraine 2011 were presented equipment and technologies for animal and poultry farming, feed production, dairy cattle breeding, veterinary, etc. For 38% exhibitors the main purpose of participation in the exhibition was to establish new business contacts, 25% of participants presented their new line of business, 19% - first came on the Ukrainian market. The purpose of visiting the exhibition for 49,2% of visitors - search for suppliers and new contracts; 48,8% visited to get acquainted with new products/technologies, 27,3% - to evaluate the current state of the market. 30,7% of visitors were interested in the feed industry, 25% and 21% - respectively, the equipment for pigs and poultry, 26,8% - veterinary products and equipment.
