Innovative: electric ALLROUNDERs Reproducibility: play-free, direct-acting spindle drives ensure top quality. Speed In the electric ALLROUNDER machines, the main axes for injection, dosing as well as opening and closing the mold are servo-electrically driven as standard, and therefore fully independent of one another. Fast acceleration and speeds, as well as simultaneous movements reduce cycle times and achieve greater cost-efficiency. Precision On the electric ALLROUNDER machines, play-free and direct-acting spindle drives provide for mechanically rigid drive axes and correspondingly dynamic movements. Combined with the excellent positioning accuracy of all servo-electric drives, this permits the highest degree of reproducibility and part quality. Absolute position encoders make movement to a reference position unnecessary. With our ALLROUNDER injection molding technology, ARBURG has consistently set new standards. This is a principle we have consistently applied with our electric ALLROUNDER machines. What does this mean for you? That spindles, motors and their control, for example, are selected exclusively according to the most stringent criteria in terms of function and quality. Regardless of whether you work with our attractive entry-level GOLDEN ELECTRIC model, our EDRIVE or our high-precision, individually adaptable ALLDRIVE; whether you are at home in the medical-technology, packaging or automotive industry: you produce complex molded parts highly efficiently and cost-effectively without exception. Energy efficiency The high efficiency of the servo-electric drives and the toggle-type clamping unit of the electric ALLROUNDER machines ensure energy-efficient operation. The energy recovery by the servo motors during braking also has a beneficial effect. Together, these factors combine to reduce energy consumption by 25 to 50%. Emission minimization The servo-electric drives are liquid-cooled and therefore capable of especially lownoise operation. Air turbulence is avoided and the targeted dissipation of heat considerably reduces the amount emitted into the environment. Closed drives and spindle systems reliably prevent exposure to dust caused by abrasion. The machines are thus perfectly suited to clean room production. Value A broad range of processing tasks can be accomplished with consistently high quality using the high-precision electric ALLROUNDER machines. The high degree of reliability of the machines and subsequent minimal variability in the process is achieved by numerous technical details. This includes, for example, the closed cooling circuit of motors and converters for fast cycles and long holding pressure phases. Productive: hybrid ALLROUNDERs Cost-efficiency The sophisticated hybrid ALLROUNDER technology provides for reliable operation and maximum availability. High acceleration and final speeds combined with simultaneous machine movements result in significantly greater cost-effectiveness through reduced cycle times. Furthermore, numerous technical detail solutions are aimed at the sustainable minimization of set-up times. Cycle time reduction All movement axes operate completely independently of one another. In this way, simultaneous drive movements can be achieved whatever the application. The extremely short dry cycle times of the servo-electric clamping units allow for fast cycles. Special features such as injection on the fly or dosage that takes place across several cycles are also available. Maximum efficiency: a combination of electric dosing and hydraulic accumulator technology. Our hybrid ALLROUNDER machines enable you to achieve high performance in cycle-time optimised thermoplastics processing. Energy optimization The high levels of efficiency of the servo-electric dosage drive and the toggle-type clamping unit ensure energy-efficient operation of the hybrid ALLROUNDERs. Moreover, the hydraulic drive features a performance-adapted pump and an efficiency class IE3 electric motor. Together, these factors combine to reduce energy consumption by up to 40 percent. Dynamics In addition to the dynamic mold movements of the servo-electric clamping unit, hydraulic accumulator technology also significantly contributes to the achievement of shorter cycle times. This enables large, dynamic injection flows. In addition, a position-regulated screw ensures maximum reproducibility and part quality. Production capacity The hybrid ALLROUNDER machine concept has been configured with the particular aim of achieving high production capacities. Versatile: Hydraulic ALLROUNDERs Energy saving: powerful differential piston system in the clamping unit. Diverse applications Hydraulic ALLROUNDER machines can be optimally adapted for operation in conjunction with all familiar injection molding techniques. They impress, not only with their large range of sizes, but also due to the ease of integration of various peripherals via the freely-programmable SELOGICA control system. Equipment packages for specific tasks make the machines exceptionally flexible and suitable for universal applications. Cost efficiency The ALLROUNDER GOLDEN EDITION is the entry-level model in the hydraulic product range. The machines unbeatable price/performance ratio is achieved through the consistent standardization of the extensive, technically high-quality standard equipment. For example, two regulating pumps and fast-switching valve technology are provided as standard. Individuality The hydraulic ALLROUNDERs can be adapted precisely to the relevant applications and energy requirements. This is achieved by means of several hydraulic versions and electric expansion stages, an extensive clamping force and injection unit range as well as numerous equipment versions and combination options. Reproducibility Regulated injection ensures reproducible mold filling and the customary high molded part quality on all hydraulic ALLROUNDERs. With the position-regulated screw option on the ALLROUNDER S, injection molding reproducibility comparable to that of electric machines can be achieved. Ergonomic: vertical ALLROUNDERs High flexibility: Product range with a variety of machine concepts. Ergonomics A high degree of ergonomics is particularly important during the processing of inserts in order to organize manual operations as conveniently and efficiently as possible. In the case of the entry-level ALLROUNDER V machine, this is achieved by means of the so-called vertical free-space system for the clamping unit. Here, tie-bars are dispensed with, rendering the mold freely accessible from three sides. Application versatility The entire technology of the vertical ALLROUNDERs can always be matched precisely to the specific injection molding task. Automation In order to enable simultaneous insertion and removal of items during the injection process, machine versions with rotary or sliding tables are also available. This enables shorter cycle times and thus higher productivity. The versatile configuration options ensure that vertical ALLROUNDER machines can also be easily integrated in automated production lines. Process reliability As you would expect from ARBURG, the injection units of the vertical ALLROUNDERs offer the customary high plasticizing and molded part quality. The position-regulated screw enables reproducible injection movements which are equally accurate to those of electric machines. The rotary tables of the ALLROUNDER V and T are generally servo-electrically driven. This makes them extremely fast and precise. Space optimization In particular, the ALLROUNDER V entry-level models impress through their compact design and small footprint. This makes them ideal for use in confined production environments. The scope for planning in the installation of the machines remains correspondingly flexible. Full and problem-free integration in differently-designed production lines is also possible. Unique: the freeformer Compact and free from emissions: the freeformer is suitable for use in any environment. Material diversity The freeformer can be used to process qualified standard granulates in a flexible way. It does not require prefabricated materials, such as resins, powders or strands, which are process-specific and thus often correspondingly expensive. This means that a wide selection of low-cost materials and colors is available. However, reproducible additive manufacturing requires the materials used to be qualified. This qualification results in optimized process data, which ARBURG makes available in a material database. This database is being continuously extended and in addition to standard material types, also with special original materials such as PP and PE (semi-crystalline), PEI (high temperature resistance), flame-proof materials and medical polylactide. We are completely redefining plastic processing with our patented process for industrial additive manufacturing, known as ARBURG Plastic Freeforming (APF). The freeformer, our system for the additive manufacturing of functional parts, produces efficiently and flexibly. No mold required. Parts created directly from 3D CAD data. Open system The freeformer is designed as an open system. Slice and process parameters are freely programmable and can thus be individually optimized at any time. Together with ARBURG s material database, this means customer-specific modified original materials are also quickly ready for use, for example a PC approved for the aerospace industry. Multi-component technology The freeformer is equipped as standard with several discharge units. This enablesthe manufacture of parts from different materials and color combinations including as a durable hard/soft combination. Self-dyeing is possible in master batches. In the case of complex part geometries, of the components can alternatively be used to construct support structures. These include: hydraulic and servo-electric rotary units and indexing units for the automatic transfer of pre-molded parts to the next station during multi-component injection molding.
