LONDON SPORT JOB DESCRIPTION & PERSON SPECIFICATION Job Title: Salary grade: Marketing Manager 40,000 pro-rata Role type: Fixed term contract, starting on 29 May and ending on 21 September 2018 Purposes of the post: To cover and deliver the business to business marketing activity within the External Relations team during a sabbatical taken by the current Head of Marketing, comprising of content sourcing, copywriting, development of printed publications, videography and social media. To service and support internal and external stakeholders in all marketing-related matters, providing exemplary service and engagement with a range of senior figures and organisations engaged with London Sport and its vision of making London the most physically active city in the world. Main activities and responsibilities 1. Deliver and oversee all marketing aspects of the London Sport External Relations business plan, including but not limited to publications, design briefs, film and visual media and brand assets. 2. Support and deliver the day-to-day marketing and communication activities for projects and campaigns under the direction of the Head of Corporate Communications and Commercial Director, Events Manager and Digital Marketing Lead including but not limited to London Sport s corporate partnerships, consumer campaigns, and consultancy hub. 3. Deliver and maintain the marketing plans related to London Sport s digital products, including Get Active London, Open Sessions, School Suppliers Hub, Insight and Data Portal and Funding Search Tool sites. 4. Project manage end-to-end the creation of an Annual Review, including copywriting, supplier management, internal stakeholder management, digital and print
5. Where required to provide pastoral line management to the Marketing and Communications Intern and support other members of the External Relations team where necessary. 6. Working alongside the Digital Marketing Lead to improve the effectiveness of our digital channels, as well as how to utilise these channels as best as possible for our consumer-related work. 7. To support the planning and delivery of London Sport s events programme comprising conferences, launches, networking events and other sector events as organised by the Events Manager. 8. To maintain our GDPR compliance across all owned marketing and communications channels. 9. Produce day-to-day content across all marketing and communications platforms, focusing on newsletters, website articles, blogs, internal communications and updates and content for social media. 10. Deliver the day-to-day management of the London Sport website, including front and back end, ensuring the site operates smoothly. 11. Provide regular monitoring, analysis and reporting for all marketing and communications platforms. 12. Maintain relationships with suppliers, providers and agencies. 13. Manage, monitor and report on the marketing and communications budget, securing value for money in all transactions and commercial activities. 14. Work alongside internal key stakeholders, including Commercial, Operational and Insight teams, ensuring that marketing outputs are integrated across the organisation and achieve internal buy-in. 15. To carry out duties and responsibilities of the post at all times in compliance with London Sport s policies. 16. Ensure marketing and communications activities are co-ordinated and promoted throughout London Sport and act as a key interface with other directorates to ensure organisation-wide commitment to key messages and marketing activities. 17. To represent the External Relations directorate and London Sport at forums, events and meetings where necessary. 18. To undertake any other duties deemed relevant by the Head of Marketing, Head of Corporate Communications and the Senior Management Team. Location The role will be located primarily in London Sport office in House of Sport, central London but travel to attend meetings and carry out other work-related duties will be required across the whole of London and occasional beyond.
