Team Leader Commercial Planning and Capability Commercial Services Finance Group, Shared Services The Team Leader Commercial Planning and Capability leads a team to provide the Commercial Procurement team with capability and planning services in support of achieving ongoing performance and benefit realisation in relation to commercial procurement across the Department. These capability and capacity services include focusing on: Strategic Planning Tracking and delivery of Commercial Procurement Strategies and Action Plans Internal and external analysis and reporting including category strategy and analysis Delivery of the significant service contract implementation Supplier Relationship and Contract Management adoption across the department Driving a programme of work to lift the Commercial capability at the Department Procurement Policy development Risk Management Success in the role will be determined by the delivery of quality policies, plans, reporting and analysis that inform and support the procurement of goods and services for the Department. What you will do to contribute Leadership and management of the team Lead and integrate work planning for the team so that the team delivers into Commercial Procurement and Finance work plans Lead the team and provide effective coaching and development opportunities to build and maintain the team s capability and performance to meet current and future procurement needs and requirements. This includes having management oversight of any graduate roles. What you will do to contribute Business Delivery Oversee/lead the delivery of specified initiatives associated with the Commercial Procurement Strategy and Action Plan Development and delivery of a programme of work to lift commercial capability at the Department Analysis and Reporting Oversee the data collation, analysis and reporting on Better Administration and Support Services (BASS) in accordance with Treasury requirements Oversee the data collation, analysis and reporting for the Procurement Capability Index in accordance with MBIE requirements Owner of Data Cube and oversee the completion of the annual analysis and reporting Monitor progress and report on delivery on the Commercial Procurement Strategies and Action/Work plans and recommend actions as appropriate Risk Management Lead the identification, assessment, priorisation, reporting and management of risks that impact/potentially impact on the Commercial Procurement work and team Lead the effective development and implementation of risk management strategies, policies and processes that support the effective delivery of Commercial Procurement Strategies and Action Plans Ensure the Commercial Procurement team is trained in and apply risk management processes and practices in their work Thought leadership Operate as the Commercial Procurement Lean Champion driving continuous improvement and best practise policies and practises in the Commercial Services team.
