REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Standing in the Gap Creative Editr Denver, Clrad Article I. Intrductin Rcky Muntain PBS requests that yur cmpany make a prpsal fr yur services fr Standing in the Gap Creative Editr. The fllwing prpsal request will utline the prject gals and detail the frmat yu shuld submit yur prpsal. Please read the timeline carefully. In rder fr yur prpsal t be cnsidered, yur prpsal must meet ur deadlines included in the timeline under Sectin 2.02. Sectin 1.01 Lcatin and Spnsr Yur bid is fr Creative Editr f Standing in the Gap. Yu will be expected t attend prject meetings lcated at 1089 Bannck Street - Denver, CO 80204, but the majrity f yur wrk can be cmpleted ff-site. Sectin 2.01 The Prject Overview 2015 marks the 20-year anniversary f the end f schl busing in Denver. This Televisin & Outreach series will stimulate dialgue arund achievement and pprtunity gaps in educatinal utcmes fr lw-incme students, as well as ften-avided but vital issues f whether and hw issues f race and class cntribute t educatinal utcmes. It als will explre the re-segregatin f Denver Public Schls since 1995 as ne f the cntributrs t the achievement gap and analyzes underlying assumptins abut perfrmance that parents and students make when chsing a schl. Sectin 2.02 Prject Specificatins The term f the prject is currently apprximately 6 t 8 mnths. The Creative Editr will wrk nn-cnsecutive days within this perid t cmplete necessary prject deliverables at his/her discretin. Shuld yur prpsal be accepted, we expect yu t cntribute the fllwing t the prject: 2

1. This psitin is that f a Creative Editr, meaning that he/she will be creating the A-rll cut and selecting sund-bytes fr the episdes based n an utline and clse cllabratin with the Directr. 2. Milestnes include: A-rll apprval, B-rll apprval, Fine Cut apprval, Deliverables 3. Sectin 2.04 Timeline The airing f the Standing in the Gap dcu-series will cincide with the 2015-2016 schl year. Episdes will be timed t schl-related events like the Schl Chice prcess and fllw families thrugh the DPS system. The utreach and cmmunity engagement will take place during the 2015/2016 schl year. This timetable is subject t change by the managers f this prject. Article III. Sectin 3.01 The Prpsal Summary f Prpsal (a) Expectatins Cntracts will be awarded based n the infrmatin presented in the prpsals received. We will award cntracts based n the prpsal expected t be the mst beneficial t ur prject based n a variety f factrs. Rcky Muntain PBS reserves the right t award mre than ne cntract, accept the lwest price ffer, award cntracts befre the prpsal deadline listed in 4

the timeline, award cntracts befre all prpsals are received, and refuse any cntract withut bligatin t Rcky Muntain PBS r t the cmpany ffering the prpsal. (b) Respnse Deadline Please frward a letter f intent via email by May 15, 2015 if yu intend t submit a prpsal. Likewise, if yu d nt intend t make a prpsal, please frward a n-bid letter by the same date. (c) Prpsal Deadline All prpsals must be submitted t Rcky Muntain PBS by May 29 2015 t be cnsidered fr their cntributin t Standing in the Gap Creative Editr. (d) Selectin Criteria All ffers submitted will be cnsidered based upn the materials prvided in the prpsal. Cnsideratin will be given t perfrmance prjectins as well as cst and staff requirements. Only thse prpsals submitted by the deadline abve will be cnsidered. The fllwing criteria will be the primary cnsideratins fr selecting a prpsal: 1. Submissin f all prpsals in the crrect frmat by the stated deadline. 2. The perceived effectiveness f the prpsal's slutin fr Rcky Muntain PBS's stated missin. 3. The perceived ability fr the prpsing cmpany's ability t deliver their services set frth in their prpsal. 4. The prpsing cmpany's past perfrmance in delivering such services. 5. Availability f sufficient high quality persnnel with the required skills fr the specific apprach prpsed. 6. Overall cst f the prpsal. Rcky Muntain PBS may suspend r discntinue prpsals at any time withut ntice r bligatin t the cmpany that submitted the prpsal. (e) Prpsal Frmat: Rcky Muntain PBS suggests that yu include the fllwing infrmatin in yur prpsal. Prpsals shuld adequately address the details f the prpsed cntract. (c) Expected Results Use this sectin t summarize the expected results f yur methdlgy listed abve. This shuld include a summary f yur timeline fr cmpleting the prject. (d) Executives, Staffing, and Management List the high level executives r fficers in charge f cmpleting the prject and a summary f their backgrund. Yu shuld als use this sectin t list the prjected staffing and management necessities and their estimated cst. Specify hw yu will btain the staff t cmplete the prject.
