Inspects equipment and machinery to determine if tampering has occurred. e. Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes or other building safety hazards, and security doors left unlocked.

f. Observes individuals to guard against theft of university property. g. Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or illegal activities. h. Allows authorized persons to enter property. i. Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
