Lesson 2: Getting Started Time Out Write down two or three local specialty shops or online businesses in your community. Can you think of a special interest travel product that might be suited to their clientele? Write down how you can approach these businesses to introduce your special interest.

Ask these questions to determine whether your special interest tour would be a good fit with the tour operators expertise: 1. What is your target market? 2. Who is a typical customer? 3. What are the strengths and highlights of your tour products? 4. What is the price range of the tours?
