www.water-control-systems.com The WCS - Water Control System is an interface used for the acquisition of dynamic measured values and static states in the segments of drinking water supply systems, waste water disposal systems, sewage treatment, district heating, industry, environmental monitoring and surveillance. The WCS - Water Control System is basically designed for battery operation (approx. 5 years). This makes it independent of the power supply network and ensures higher system availability (no data loss in case of power failure). The WCS - Water Control System facilitates easy installation in any existing plant because all measuring probes, transducers and control devices can be connected, no matter whether the data sent is analogue (4-20 ma or 0-24 V), digitally or via an RS-232 interface. The data recorded by the WCS - Water Control System is automatically and economically transmitted over a cellular network to a web server in the data processing centre of the TELEKOM AUSTRIA, who guarantee highest possible data security and availability. Using a client-specific password, the customer can login via the Internet to the web server, which displays the individual plant and its data, which can be viewed in various formats. This access is available via a PC or other mobile equipment such as a laptop or an Internet enabled mobile phone. Using the on-line mode, metering data or graphs can be monitored in real time, where e.g. water loss analyses in a water supply network are carried out (flow meter data or uptake rate curves, reaction on opening or closing of valves). Owing to the web-based user accounts, is no additional software is needed. The WCS - Water Control System enables acquisition of metering and measured data in regions where this was not feasible due to non-availability power of supply lines or data lines up to now. - 2 -

WCS pumping tests Examples of measured values: - waterlevel of any numeros sensors - fill level - water recovery - temperature - Litre - capacity - ph value - redox - conductance - turbidity Can be installed anywhere thanks to the compact design, in a sturdy box and regardless of the availability of power supply. During pumping tests, the measured data is sent to the server at short intervals. The values can be retrieved continuously via the Control Centre. If a defined limit is reached it will send alarm messages automatically. WCS in field of monitoring Building site - ground water monitoring Ground water lowering at building sites is difficult and dangerous. To protect surrounding buildings ground water monitoring is essential. Ground water level measurement In this application, accuracy and reliability is necessary. The WCS, which is concealed and integrated in a tube ensures that both these requirements are met. - 5 -
WCS for waste water In case of mobile waste water, measurements are made using inductive methods having a high accuracy (0.25%) are used. Ease of installation and the broad range of applications (measuring devices from DN 50 to DN 800) help in the detection of water infiltration.
