Mitigation Measures Environmental Measures Do not drill during the blockage period for fish spawning, to avoid adverse impacts from tophole cuttings discharge to seabed. Develop oil response plan. Provide supporting vessel(s) to warn any vessels that might intrude on platform.
Mitigation Measures (cont d) Environmental Measures Most cuttings shall be collected and transferred to shore for disposal. Tophole cuttings from 100-m drilling cannot be brought to rig floor, then the cuttings will be mound and spread at the seabed. Food waste shall be ground before discharge overboard. Other wastes shall be segregated and collected in proper containers before transferring to shore for disposal.
Mitigation Measures (cont d) Social Measures Arrange meeting(s) to notify stakeholder(s) exact project schedule at least a month ahead of time. Avoid drilling during high season of tourism from December to April. Compensate for damaged fishing gears at fair rate with agreement among fishermen, concerned government agencies, and Company. Provide channel(s) for comment and complaint. Offer opportunity to governmental agencies and people to observe implementation all the project life. Consider to support social activities continually, especially about education, public health, natural resources and environment conservation, and marine ecology restoration.
Mitigation Measures (cont d) Health Measures All employees shall be medically checked up prior to job commencement. Provide first aid kits on the rig, at Laem Rew Port, and at supporting base. Provide emergency response plan about health. Identify sanatoriums for illness and emergency case(s). Support activities about enhancing good health to local youth.
