His first position in BIMCO was in the Front Office, where he was tasked with assisting BIMCO members with a wide range of operational, commercial and practical issues. In 2000 he was appointed Marketing & Sales Director of BIMCO and was responsible for promoting and driving forward BIMCO s global position as a leading membership and maritime interest organisation. As part of his duties, he project managed a wide range of BIMCO events, including the BIMCO General Meetings in Beijing, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Hong Kong. As Chief PR Officer he was also responsible for coordinating BIMCO s communication and PR activities. Since 2005 he has been responsible for BIMCO Courses and Seminars. He is developing, coordinating and delivering 20-25 courses, seminars and conferences world-wide annually, speaking at the courses on issues related to BIMCO s activities. Prior to joining BIMCO, Peter worked in ship owning in Copenhagen as well as Sale & Purchase in Piraeus, Greece. He is a graduate from the Danish School for International Marketing & Export, a Chartered Shipbroker (FICS) and has a Master s Degree in Education and Learning.
Venue Where will the course be held? The course will be held at a suitable conference hotel. The venue will be confirmed approximately 8 weeks prior to the course start to ensure the most appropriate room for the size of the class is selected. Registration Fee: BIMCO members & supporting organisations: EUR 990 Non-members: EUR 1350 Free of VAT: EU 6th VAT Directive, reverse charges apply. Private persons registering without the support of a VAT registered company, please contact bimcocourses@ics.dk. The fee includes coffee breaks, lunches and course materials but not accommodation; this should be arranged by the participant directly with the hotel. Group discount: Signing up 3 or more participants from the same company entitles you to a 10% group discount. How to register: Sign up online at: www.bimco.org and click on Training. Registration will be handled on a strictly first come, first served basis. Once you have registered, a confirmation email will be sent to you but you will only have a confirmed place on the course after your payment has been received. Cancellation: You can cancel up to two weeks before the course start date and receive a 50% refund of the course fee. You will not receive a refund after this date.
