Trempealeau County Opening ADRC/Aging Unit Clerk PURPOSE OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to perform fiscal and administrative support to the ADRC Unit and the Human Services Department. Duties may include reception, phone, data entry, typing, transcription, doing spreadsheets and other routine reports, filing, and other fiscal or general work. The work is performed under the supervision of the ADRC Director. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, vocational/technical training in accounting or bookkeeping, one year experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Computer experience required including experience in spreadsheet application and word processing. COMPENSATION / BENEFITS: The 2018 starting wage for this non-exempt position is $14.08 to $18.07 per hour, depending upon qualifications, with potential for future earnings up to $19.20 per hour (80 hours bi-weekly). Trempealeau County s compensation plan includes annual wage step increases. Employee Benefit Summary WAGE DETAILS Trempealeau County s compensation plan includes annual wage step increases for employees as well as a potential cost of living increase. HEALTH INSURANCE Trempealeau County contributes 88% of the lowest cost plan. Employee contribution varies depending on the plan selected. In addition, the County pays for the employee s deductible through a flexible spending account. When an employee is eligible for health insurance, the County puts the full amount of the deductible, $500 for a single plan and $1000 for a family plan, in the account for the employee to access when needed. To receive that money, complete a short form (paper or electronic) and submit a copy of the Explanation of Benefits (EOB), bill, or receipt. Payouts occur weekly. Duties may include reception, phone, data entry, typing, transcription, doing spreadsheets and other routine reports, filing, and other fiscal or general work. The work is performed under the supervision of the ADRC Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Provide reception coverage by communicating with the public, employees, and other individuals in person or by phone regarding department programs and services. Refer clients to appropriate staff or agency. Provide necessary forms or materials and route to appropriate personnel. Performs general clerical support functions including filing, faxing, scanning, copying, opening and distributing mail, prepare out- going mail, typing correspondence, forms and reports for the department. Set up case files, assign case numbers, updates electronic data and retrieves and returns locked files. Manage and keep records of LTS case file destruction. Collate packets, folders, and resource guides as needed. Assist department staff as needed with copy machines, fax machine, phones. Cover lunch/breaks and back up other department members. Participate in on-going training. Attend meetings as required. Transcribe case information for ADRC and Human Services staff. Enter data in SAMS for the Nutrition program, caregiver program, and on all calls received each month. Enter Transportation Program information into electronic system needed for quarterly reports and trip billing. Take and transcribe ADRC Advisory Board minutes, type and post agenda. Enter daily changes for Home Delivered meals into electronic log and tally total daily congregate and home delivered meals into the spreadsheet. Communicate with all meal drivers daily. Print Home Delivered Meal Route sheets weekly. Type up monthly menus for Nutrition program and prepare monthly packets for meal sites. Send daily meal counts to meal providers

Completes billing for Home Delivered Meal services and transportation services. Set up and maintain up ride authorization electronic files and follow up on missing authorizations for services provided. Reconcile and audit volunteer driver program reimbursement requests and enter into electronic system. Serves as back up to Transportation Scheduler to call and set up rides for the program. Work collaboratively with Fiscal/Admin Unit to maintain organization in storage areas. Maintains spreadsheet on Department cell phone usage. Schedules appointments for staff as needed. All other duties as assigned. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including computer terminal, typewriter, telephone, fax machine, calculator/adding machine, computer printer, paper shredder, postage meter and photocopier. Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet and limbs in performing movements requiring skill and training, such as data entry. Ability to exert very moderate physical effort in sedentary to light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. Ability to recognize and identify similarities or differences between characteristics of shapes and sounds, associated with job-related objects, materials and tasks. Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration. Environmental Adaptability Ability to work under safe and comfortable conditions where exposure to environmental factors such as repetitive computer keyboard use poses a very limited risk of injury.
