aturalase YOUR SOURCE FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN Erbium Skin Resurfacing

A Major Advancement Today s skin resurfacing patients are more sophisticated and knowledgeable than ever. They demand the safest, most effective treatment available for the most reasonable price. To accomplish this, a physician needs a laser that can offer not only increased safety and superior results, but greater speed and ease of use. NaturaLase, a pioneer in Erbium skin resurfacing technology, offers its latest generation resurfacing laser - The 3 Joule LTE. This remarkable laser does what no other laser can... E rbium Resurfacing The Erbium wavelength, with its high affinity for water, seemed the optimal choice. The promise was for more depth control and less skin trauma. NaturaLase was one of Erbium s earliest pioneers in this new modality. CO 2 Laser NaturaLase Laser CREAM Burning Redness Swelling Minimal Thermal Trauma Once carbon dioxide lasers were the glorified workhorse of laser skin resurfacing. However, prolonged healing times, months of redness and swelling, and the chance of significant pigmentation problems sent physicians searching for a better modality. In the beginning Erbium lasers had significant drawbacks in terms of both time and efficacy. These early lasers did not have enough total energy (Joules) to create high enough fluences (energy per area unit) to penetrate to the depths required for optimal results.

Even today most Erbium lasers lack the pulse energy needed for the ideal erbium treatment one that goes deep into the skin, in a single pass with a large spot size. NaturaLase s break-through technology makes this theoretical ideal a reality! With up to 3 Joules delivered per pulse, the NaturaLase LTE is able to achieve the high fluences (deep resurfacing) while maintaining a wide treatment beam (up to 10 mm). This allows the user to treat with one pass. High pulse energy also allows a lower pulse rate, which reduces neural summation and allows most treatments to be performed using topical anesthetics only. Superior Results superficial to deep wrinkles

N aturalase Advantage Gone are the days of complicated resurfacing procedures that require general anesthesia or nerve blocks, and months of recovery. The NaturaLase high power Erbium can accomplish remarkable things once only dreamed of... All Skin Types Topical Anesthesia Only Hands, Neck, and Chest Less Pigmentation Problems Less Handholding

N aturalase Power Makes a Difference 3 Joules of Energy Means... Larger Spot Size Deeper Penetration in a Single Pass Less Pain and Topical Anesthesia Only Cleaner, Safer, more Patient Friendly Treaments!

The NaturaLase Erbium is the result of years of work with doctors using the Erbium modality. Focus Medical s research shows that ideal results are produced when an Erbium laser is powerful enough to reach the desired ablation depth in one pass. Further we found that a fast pulse rate is undesirable for two reasons. First, the smoke produced by the first pulse needs to be cleared to control the depth of ablation of the following pulses. Second, because pulsing faster than 4 PPS increases greatly the pain due to neural stacking. As a result of these two factors the NaturaLase LTE Erbium Laser was designed to produce a large diameter high energy pulse and usable pulse rates from 1 PPS to 8 PPS. Other manufacturers spend their time designing fancy scanning mechanisms and complex controls to allow the operator to switch to the scan pattern and spot size that is needed. They have no choice because the optical system produces low energy pulses and they must pulse 20 to 50 times to cover even a small area. With high energy and large spots the NaturaLase 3 Joule LTE covers up to 10 mm per pulse and allows the smoke to clear and the pain to subside before delivering the next pulse.
