S EAp2 Minimum Energy Performance 0 (required) An abundance of windows in a building promotes the amount of natural light and preserves sight lines on the outside, thus contributing greatly to the well-being of occupants. Insulating glass is an essential element of any building envelope. It is therefore necessary to carefully choose the type of glazing to be installed in the curtain walls, windows or skylights for an energy efficient building. Select 1 of the 3 compliance path options described below. Chosen option must also be used for EA Credit 1. Option 1 Whole building simulation: Either Model National Energy Code For Buildings (MNECB) or ASHRAE 90.1-2007, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings. ÉNERGY AND ATMOSPHÈRE (ÉA) In comparison with the reference building performance rating, demonstrate a 23% cost improvement in the proposed building performance rating for new buildings or a 19% cost improvement in the proposed building performance rating for major renovations to existing buildings, for the MNECB or 10% cost improvement for new buildings or 5% cost improvement for major renovations to existing buildings for ASHRAE 90.1-2007. Option 2 Comply with the prescriptive measures of the ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guide appropriate to the project scope, for one of the following path: for Small Office Buildings 2004 or for Small Retail Buildings 2006 or for Small Warehouses and SelfStorage Buildings 2008 or for K-12 School Buildings. Option 3 Comply with the prescriptive measures identified in the Advanced BuildingsTM Core Performance Guide developed by the New Buildings Institute. Optimize Energy Performance EA 1 1-19 points (NC) 3-21 points (CS) Select 1 of the 3 compliance path options described below. Comply with EA Prerequisite 2 (Minimum Energy Performance). Option 1 Demonstrate a percentage cost improvement in the proposed building performance rating compared with reference building performance rating, according to the chosen path in EA Prerequisite 2. Up to 19 points (NC) or 21 points (CS). MNECB One point (1) LEED NC and three (3) points LEED CS for an expected cost reduction of 25% (new buildings) or 21% (existing buildings renovations). ASHRAE 90.1-2007 One point (1) LEED NC and three (3) points LEED CS for an expected cost reduction of 12% (new buildings) or 8% (existing building renovations). The from PRELCO INC. can contribute to Prerequisite EAp2 and to Credit EA 1 since it can help achieve a high energy efficiency reducing the solar heat gain windows generated by the perimeter of a building. Reducing heat gain reduces the energy required for air conditioning as well as the size of the HVAC equipment. By combining a, a low-e coating, a non-conductive spacer and a space filled with argon gas high efficient performance glazing is obtained in any season. Energy table efficiency of : 6 mm clear insulating glass, low-e front 2 /12,7 mm argon / 6mm clear (1) Silkscreened pattern face 2 PC-7008 Translucent VLT% (2) Without pattern 69 0.40 30% coverage 64 0,38 40% or 50% coverage 61 0.36 60% coverage 56 0.34 U-Value (3) SHGC (4) (1) Data according Window LBNL 6,3, low-e to moderate solar gain neutral color. PRELCO INC. is able to advise you at the time of selection of the glazing as well as providing all the necessary documentation to credit as part of a LEED project. Option 2 Comply with the prescriptive measures of the ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guide (1 point) appropriate to the project scope, for one of the following path: for Small Office Buildings 2004 or for Small Retail Buildings 2006 or for Small Warehouses and Self-Storage Buildings 2008 or for K-12 School Buildings. Option 3 Comply with the prescriptive measures identified in the Advanced BuildingsTM Core Performance Guide developed by the New Buildings Institute. For this credit, additionnal points must be obtained with this option (3 points maximum). PAGE 3

S MR 4 Recycled Content Do not contribute The from PRELCO INC.. consists of a glazing on which has been deposited, a geometric pattern or any images in opaque or translucent ceramic. Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus 1/2 of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% (1 point) or 20% (2 points) based on cost of the total value of the materials in the project. This product does not contribute to Credit MR 4 because it does not contain pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content. MATÉRIALS AND RESOURCES (MR) The recycled content value of a material assembly is determined by weight. The recycled fraction of the assembly is then multiplied by the cost of assembly to determine the recycled content value. MR 5 Regionals Materials Do not contribute It's important to specify that some glass industries report that their products are up to 20% recycled content, but it is usually come from internal residues. It this a healthy waste management, not a preconsumer recycled content, as defined by the Federal Trade Commission. Use building materials or products that have been extracted, harvested, recovered and processed within 800 km (500 miles) (2,400 km if shipped by rail or water) of the final manufacturing site. Demonstrate that the final manufacturing site is within 800 km (500 miles) (2,400 km if shipped by rail or water) of the project site for these products. If only a fraction of a product or material is extracted, harvested, recovered, processed and manufactured locally, then only that percentage (by weight) must contribute to the regional value. The minimum percentage of regional materials for each point threshold is 20% (1 point) or 30% (2 points). The from PRELCO INC. cannot contribute to this credit since of its components are extracted, collected, treated and recovered more than 800 km or 2,400 km radius (depending on the transportation mean used). The percentage calculation was performed by considering the requirements of Credit MR 5 and the maximum distance radius (which depends on the means of transportation used). The origin of the main components and the mean of transportation used must be validated for every project. The final manufacturing site for the from PRELCO INC. is located in Quebec, Rivière-du-Loup (G5R 2M9). PRELCO INC. has all required documents regarding LEED and provide information for a specific project. PAGE 4

S Low-Emitting Materials: Paints and Coatings IEQ 4.2 Non applicable Paint and coating used on the interior of the building (i.e., inside of the weatherproofing system and applied on site) must comply with the following criteria as applicable to the project scope: Anti-corrosive an anti-rust paints applied to interior ferrous metal substrates must not exceed the VOC content limit of 250 g/l established in Green Seal Standard GC-03, Anti-Corrosive Paints, Second Edition, January 7, 1997. INDOOR ENVIRONMENTALQUALITY (IEQ) Clear wood finishes, floor coatings, stains, primers, sealers, and shellacs applied to interior elements must not exceed the VOC content limit established in South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1113, Architectural Coatings, rules in effect on January 1,2004. Daylight and Views: Daylight 1 point To provide for the building occupants a connection between indoor spaces and the outdoors through the introduction of daylight and views into the regularly occupied areas of the building. Through 1 of the 4 options achieve daylighting in at least 75% of the regularly occupied spaces. Points 75% 1 95% exemplary performance 1 additional point with Credit ID 1 path 2 The Credit IEQ 4.2 only applies to paints and coatings used on-site and on the interior of the building (inside the vapor barrier). The paints and coatings used in the manufacturing of PRINTED GLASS PREL-DESIGN from PRELCO INC. are factory-applied and thus don t have to meet the requirements for this credit. Special attention should be paid to any on-site application of paints or finish products for touch ups. The products used must also meet this credit s requirements. Indirect Regularly occupied spaces IEQ 8.1 Option 1. Simulation Option 2. Prescriptive Option 3. Measurement The Credit IEQ 8.1 is related to the value of visible light transmittance (VLT) and window-to-floor area ratio (WFR). The building design and the selection of glazing remain crucial elements for achieving this credit. Maximize the contribution of daylight in a building can reduce the use of electric lighting while promoting the well-being of occupants. Several strategies can be envisaged to optimize the distribution of natural light entering through the perimeter glazing. Thus, the addition of glass doors, interior windows, pieces of furniture or railings tempered promotes the circulation of natural light without compromising the safety of users. In addition, the use of patterned glass also helps counter the glare caused by sunlight while preserving the privacy of the occupants. PRELCO INC. is able to advise you at the time of selection of glazing as well as providing all the necessary documentation for this credit as part of a LEED project. Option 4. Combination PAGE 5

S INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (IEQ) IEQ 8.2 Daylight and Views: Views 1 point Indirect Achieve direct line of sight to the outdoor environment via vision glazing between 0.76 metres and 2.3 metres (30 inches and 90 inches) above the finished floor for building occupants in 90% of all regularly occupied areas. Determine the area with direct line of sight by totalling the regularly occupied floor area that meets the following criteria: In plan view, the area is within sight lines drawn from perimeter vision glazing. In section view, a direct sight line can be drawn from the area to perimeter vision glazing. Several strategies can be considered to maximize the direct line of sight to the environment of a building. According to the conception and design of printing, the use of interior windows, glass doors, pieces of furniture and railings preserve sight lines offered by the perimeter glazing. The glasses can be printed in whole or in part patterns or opaque or translucent images according to the desired level of transparency. PRELCO INC. is able to advise you at the time of conception as well as providing all the necessary documentation for this credit as part of a LEED project. ID 1 Path 2 Innovation in design 1-3 points According to the project design, note the possibility that the PRINTED GLASS PREL-DESIGN from PRELCO INC. can contribute to strategies for exemplary performance beyond the credit requirements: INNOVATION IN DESIGN (ID) The from PRELCO INC. are able contributes to obtain this credit since they offer an outside view. The building design and the selection of glazing remain crucial elements for achieving this credit. Path 2: Exemplary Performance Achieve exemplary performance in an existing LEED 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations credit that allows exemplary performance as specified in the LEED Reference Guide for Green Building Design & Construction, 2009 Edition. An exemplary performance point may be earned for achieving double the credit requirements and/or achieving the next incremental percentage threshold of an existing credit in LEED. IEQ 8.1 - Innovation, exemplary performance if the project gets 95% of regularly occupied spaces have access to natural light. One point is awarded for each exemplary performance achieved. No more than 3 points under ID credit 1 may be earned through PATH 2 Exemplary Performance. PAGE 6

S PR 2 Regional Priority 1-3 points /Indirect REGIONAL PRIORITY (RP) Up to 3 points for Regional Priority Credit 2 may be proposed for this credit that is intended to allow adding point emphasis to recognize one OR more issues that have additional regional environmental importance. To achieve a Regional Priority credit, the applicant must identify LEED credits which have additional regional environmental importance. Please refer to the «Advantages and Aspects to Consider» section of the Regional Priority credit. For a list of applicable credits, please refer to the CaGBC website www.cagbc.org, under the LEED tools section for the LEED NC 2009 for new construction and major renovations and LEED CS 2009 for core and shell development Rating Systems. A project must achieve the base credit and then propose that credit as a Regional Priority credit. TOTAL Up to 8 possible points THE can contribute up to eight (8) possible points for LEED Canada-NC & CS 2009 project * It is important to consider that the total amount of possible points reflects the number of achievable points in each credit category. The product by itself cannot achieve this score, as defined above, but is considered as a beneficial element in order to achieve LEED credits. PAGE 7
