Extra-Heavy-Duty Thermacore Doors SERIES 592 599 With a 17.50 R-value (3.09 W/Msq) and.057 U-value (.324 Msq/W), the 592/599 Series Thermacore is the energy-efficient door of choice for commercial use. The 592/599 Series also incorporates an EPDM thermal break and joint seal to prevent thermal transfer between exterior and interior door panel skins. The door is designed for the most demanding situations, including highcycle, windload and thermal applications. PART 2 PRODUCT 2.01 Sections Section profile will be ribbed, (599 flush) textured surface. Sections will be roll-formed, hot-dipped, galvanized steel exterior no less than.016" (.41 mm). Sections will be manufactured by a continuous foamed-inplace polyurethane lamination process resulting in a metal/foam/metal sandwich of homogenous polyurethane insulation. Exterior surface will be ribbed, (flush) textured surface. Sections (Panels) will have a thickness of 2" (51 mm) and will incorporate a dual PVC thermal break and joint seal to prevent heat or cold conductivity. 2.02 Insulation Insulation will be a rigid, foamed-in-place, polyurethane core free of CFCs and will be fully encapsulated in nonpermeable materials to prevent loss of thermal efficiency over time. The insulation will have an R-value of 17.50 (3.09 W/Msq), U-value of.057 (.324 Msq/W) calculated values based on certified test data.

Thermacore Door System SERIES 592 599 2.03 Air Infiltration All doors will be constructed with an air infiltration rating of.08 cfm per square foot of door at 15 mph (2.26 Lpm at 24 kmph) and.08 cfm per square foot of door at 25 mph (2.26 Lpm at 40 kmph). (ASTM-E-283-73) 2.04 Windload ANSI/DASMA 102-1996 standards and as required by code. Consult factory for specific requirements. 2.05 End Stiles End stiles will be of 16-gauge steel and incorporate a thermal break to help prevent heat/cold conductivity between the inside and outside steel skins. 2.06 Hardware Hinges and fixtures will be galvanized steel. Full floating ballbearing rollers will have hardened steel races. Roller sizes will be adequate for design requirements and limitations. Standard springs will be 10,000 cycles. (Higher cycle springs are optional in 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, and 100,000 cycles.) 2.07 Track Track is 2" (51 mm) standard or (3" (76 mm) optional) and angle-mounted. Bracket-mounted track is an option, but not available on full vertical doors. 2.08 Lock Lock will be interior mounted slide lock. (Keyed lock) 2.09 Weatherstrip Weatherstrip between sections will be dual PVC thermal break and joint seal. Bottom weatherstrip will be EPDM rubber bulb-type strip. 2.10 Finish Finish will be two-coat baked-on polyester with a white interior and white exterior. The 591 Series exterior skin is constructed of galvanized steel with a ribbed, textured finish. It is available with a white interior finish and either a white or Industrial brown exterior. Heavy-Duty Thermacore Doors SERIES 595 The Thermacore 595 Series offers superior thermal efficiency for heavy-duty applications. The 595 Series is constructed of 20-gauge galvanized steel with a flush, textured finish. 595 Series doors also carry a Class 26 sound transmission rating for applications where sound suppression is desirable.
