Bioenergy Landfill sites with organic waste produce landfill gas which is approximately 50% methane (CH4). Methane is a harmful greenhouse gas that contributes to the effects of global warming. By destroying and reprocessing landfill gas, LMS reduces greenhouse gas emissions and provides a local renewable energy source for the community. Renewable energy also saves water, reduces pollution and alleviates dependence on fossil fuels. Gas Flare Innovation LMS manufactures a fleet of flare modules, including the LMS Gas Flare. It is also independently verified for the calculation of carbon credits under various Australian schemes, and has been accredited with the approval of numerous regulatory bodies.
