ARBN 26 008 776 243 PRODUCT DATA SHEET Plasticote Cold Applied Plastic Long life road paint Product Description Plasticote is based on proven methyl methacrylate (MMA) technology. MMA is the most durable pavement marking material available anywhere today. Plasticote may be applied as a structured finish, traffic marking system designed for application via a splatter pattern technique. (Specialised equipment is required for this application.) Refer Supalux for details and availability. When the structured finish is applied over a new or bare pavement surface, it creates a solid line effect when viewed by the driver. Additionally, the structured design produces enhanced wet night retro-reflectivity by allowing water to flow off its peaks and valleys. It is applied at approx 1.5-2mm structure height. Features and Recommended uses Plasticote is very resistant to mechanical damage. It is abrasion resistant and therefore very hard wearing. It retains retro reflective glass spheres with a chemical bond of exceptional strength. Plasticote can be screed applied, profiled, extruded, and sprayed at various film thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 2mm. It may be applied onto asphalt or concrete roads for both long line as well as transverse markings.
