PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION SHEET This material is exempt from the Hazard Communication Standard since it is produced as an article as defined in 20 CFR 1910.1200. Under normal conditions of use, this material does not release and will not result in exposure to a hazardous chemical; therefore, no Safety Data Sheet is required. This data sheet is therefore provided only as a convenience to users of our products. 1: IDENTIFICATION Trade Name: Sponge 3330 Chemical Family: Open Cell EPDM Sponge Rubber Use: Gasket and cushioning applications Manufacturer: GRISWOLD LLC Address: P.O. Box 638 One River Street Moosup, CT 06354-0638 Phone: 860-564-3321 Fax: 860-564-5690 2: HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Classification of the material: Labeling requirements: Effects of overexposure: None expected with normal handling. Cutting, grinding and other finishing operations may generate nuisance dust. As such, proper ventilation and personnel protection measures should be taken to limit exposure to nuisance dusts as defined by OSHA. This product may contain crystalline silica and titanium dioxide and are naturally occurring components of some filler materials which are considered hazardous in respirable form. Carbon black is also present. These hazardous components are bound in the polymer matrix and as such this generally precludes the possibility of airborne dust of the materials. These components are not expected to become airborne during normal use of this product. Skin contact: Not classified. Dust from cutting/grinding operations may cause irritation. Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Eye contact: Not classified. Dust from cutting/grinding operations may cause irritation. Flush eyes with water and seek medical attention if necessary. Respiratory/Skin Sensitization: Not classified. Product is made with synthetic rubber. Carcinogenicity: IARC has listed carbon black and titanium dioxide as Group 2B suspected human carcinogens and crystalline silica as a Group 1 carcinogen. Aspiration: Not classified. Dust from cutting/grinding operations may cause respiratory irritation. Remove to fresh air and seek medical attention if necessary. Page 1 of 5

2: HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION (cont.) Ingestion: Not classified. Not a typical route of exposure. If ingested seek medical attention. 3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS Chemical Name CAS No. % OSHA PEL ACGIH TLV NIOSH EPDM Proprietary <25% Proprietary Fillers Proprietary <60% 15 mg/m 3 TWA (total dust), 5 mg/m 3 TWA (respirable fraction) Silica, Crystalline (1) 14808-60-7 <1.0% 0.1 mg/m 3 TWA (respirable dust) 0.025 mg/m 3 TLV (respirable fraction) Titanium Dioxide 13463-67-7 <0.6% 15 mg/m 3 TWA (total 10 mg/m 3 TWA (2) dust), 5 mg/m 3 TWA (particulate matter (respirable fraction) containing no asbestos and <1% crystalline silica) Carbon Black (3) 1333-86-4 <4.0% 3.5 mg/m 3 3.5 mg/m 3 3.5 mg/m 3 0.05 mg/m 3 TWA (respirable dust) Notes: 1) Crystalline Silica is a naturally occurring component of some of the fillers used which may contain trace amounts or up to 2% of silica depending on the source. Crystalline Silica is listed as a Group 1 carcinogen by IARC, Group A2 suspected human carcinogen by ACGIH, occupational carcinogen by NIOSH and known carcinogen (select carcinogen) by NTP. 2) Titanium Dioxide is a naturally occurring component of some of the fillers used which may contain trace amounts or up to 2% depending on the source. ACGIH list Titanium Dioxide as A4 - Not Classifiable as a Human Carcinogen. IARC lists Titanium Dioxide as Group 2B (possibly carcinogenic to humans). 3) Carbon Black is listed as Group 2B (possibly carcinogenic to humans) by IARC and Group A4 by ACGIH 4: FIRST AID MEASURES Eye Contact: Skin Contact: Inhalation: Ingestion: In case of eye contact, immediately rinse with clean water. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking, tears or redness persists. Not expected to present a significant skin hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use. Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and water. Not expected to present a significant inhalation hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use. If overcome by exposure, remove victim to fresh air immediately. Give oxygen or artificial respiration as needed. Obtain emergency medical attention. If ingested, obtain emergency medical attention. 5: FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing Media: Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Flash Point: Water, Fog, Dry Chemical, Foam, Carbon Dioxide Wear NIOSH/MSHA approved SCBA and full protective gear as decomposition in fire may produce toxic fumes. May generate dense smoke in fire situation. Not Applicable Page 2 of 5

6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Steps to take if Material Released/Spilled: Clean up while avoiding the creation of nuisance dust. 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling: General Storage Requirements: The use of hot wire, laser or other cutting devices that involve high temperature cutting operations requires local exhaust sufficient to prevent exposure to potential toxic fumes that may be generated. Refer to Section 8. Keep away from open flame, electrical or mechanical sparks, electric heaters, high-powered lights, flame sources and flammable liquids and gases. 8: EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSOL PROTECTION Eye Protection: Skin Protection: Respiratory Protection: Ventilation: Wear safety glasses during cutting operations. Not expected to be a skin hazard. Where use can result in skin contact, practice good personal hygiene. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking, smoking, and when leaving the work area. Wear a suitable dust mask during mechanical cutting operations. The use of hot wire, laser or other cutting devices that involve high temperature cutting operations requires local exhaust sufficient to prevent exposure to potential toxic fumes that may be generated. Use sufficient ventilation to keep dust exposure below the recommended limits for a respirable nuisance dust. 9: PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Physical state: Solid, Open Cell EPDM Sponge Rubber Color: Black Odor: Slight ph: Melting point: Freezing point: Initial boiling point: Flash point: Evaporation rate: Flammability: Lower Explosive Limit Upper Explosive Limit Vapor pressure: Vapor density: Relative density: < 1.0 Solubility: Auto-ignition temperature: Decomposition temperature: 10: STABILITY AND REACTIVITY Stability: Possibility of hazardous reactions: Stable under normal conditions.
