Corrosion inhibition for paints & coatings: Reference: 1K acrylic water based with 10.1 % zinc phosphate 1K acrylic water based with 5 % zinc phosphate and with 2 % Additive G50 wb 250 h salt spray, 60 µm 250 h salt spray, 60 µm Additive G50 is a corrosion inhibitor suitable for many coating systems, in synergism with anti-corrosion pigments (like zinc phosphate) or as sole corrosion inhibitor e.g. transparent coatings. Here Additive G50 acts as partial replacement for zinc phosphate. 8

Inhibitor for aluminium flakes / aluminium pigments: Additive G50 can also act as a treatment for aluminium flakes/pigments in water based coatings, preventing the oxidation and the creation of hydrogen. Corrosion inhibition for lubricants & metalworking: Additive G50 is useful as a multi metal corrosion inhibitor for many different kinds of lubricants and metalworking fluids. Through a proper emulsion it can be used in lubricant oils, metalworking fluids like neat oils, soluble coolants or synthetic coolants and special corrosion preventives. Temporary corrosion protection: Additive G50 S on ST14 steel, applied through a paraffinic base oil. The dosage of Additive G50 S is 1.0% in the oil. All competitors (coded B, C, M, N and W) are commercially available products for temporary metal protection, rust removal, lubricating, penetration of rust and moisture displacement. Additive G50 is roughly divided into two parts, one is a lipophilic backbone and the other are hydrophilic anchors. These anchors have a strong adsorption to metal surfaces.
