Sash glass pocket weeped with one (1) 9.53mm x 4.76mm ( 3 /8" x 3 /16") punched weep through both legs spaced 82.55mm (3¼") from each end. Fixed meeting rail weeped with one (1) 2.38mm ( 3 /32") weep hole punched through both legs spaced 82.55mm (3¼") from each end. Hardware: Metallic cam action locks 203.2mm (8") from each end of sash top rail, attached by two (2) #8 x 19.05mm (¾") PFH screws with keepers at fixed interlock attached with two (2) #8 x 12.7mm (½") PFH screws. Metallic spring loaded tilt latch at each end of sash top rail. Metallic pivot bar at each end of sash bottom rail attached with one (1) #8 x 9.52mm ( 3 /8") screw per bar. Metal snubbers located at the underside of bottom rail and frame sill 381mm (15") from each end, attached with #8 x 12.7mm (½"). Glass insulated with warm edge air spacer. Glazing: Sash lite is exterior glazed with Sika 552 polyurethane back bedding compound at interior, full perimeter and rigid vinyl snap-in glazing bead at exterior of glass. Fixed lite is interior glazed with Sika 552 polyurethane back bedding compound at exterior, full perimeter and rigid vinyl snap-in glazing bead at interior of glass. Installation Features: Frame nail fin was attached to SPF, nominal 50.8mm x 101.6mm (2" x 4") test buck w/silicone and (2") 6d penny nails through fin spaced 152.4mm (6") from each end and approximately on 152.4mm (6") centers, full perimeter. Other Features: Frame and sash corners are mitered and welded. Frame sill also attached to frame jambs with one (1) #8 x 19.05 ( ¾") PPH per corner. Fixed interlock rail reinforcement attached to jambs with one (1) #8 x 76.2mm (3") truss head screw at each end. The laboratory temperature was recorded at 85ºF for the duration of testing. Test specimens were stored in the lab prior to testing and the skin temperature of the vinyl was recorded at 85ºF. Visual inspections performed on the test specimens revealed there were no penetrations through the laminate and no separation of vision-to-frame glazing at the conclusion of the large missile impact tests.
