ESTATE, GIFT & INCOME TAX VALUATION The Business Valuation Services Group recognizes that these valuations must meet strict requirements promulgated by the Internal Revenue Service in the Internal Revenue Code, Regulations and other rule-based pronouncements. Having an appraisal that meets these requirements is important, but just as important is having a defensible and supportable valuation conclusion using financial theory and empirical data appropriately.
