OUR ACTIVITIES IN THE USA TOTAL & THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA MORE THAN SIXTY YEARS OF HISTORY Our story in the United States began in 1956 with the creation of American Petrofina in Texas. In the years since then, Total in the USA has grown from a refining and marketing presence to a fully-integrated oil and gas company with activities across the entire energy value chain. It s taken our pioneering spirit and a bit of American can-do attitude to identify opportunities to expand our footprint through acquisitions, partnerships, and investments. With safety as our guiding core value, we are committed to ensuring that every person in each of our locations goes home safely every day. Total leverages synergies from all areas of the business to continue to push for innovation and operational excellence that help us deliver energy and products more efficiently for all our stakeholders. Total s ambition in the USA continues today with the opening of a representative office in Washington D.C. and the development of significant projects including investments in LNG with Tellurian and Engie* that will make us a top exporter of U.S. liquefied natural gas. The application of our deepwater expertise in the Gulf of Mexico, the 100% operatorship of our Barnett shale gas asset, and agreements to expand our refining and petrochemicals business are among our commitments to further our presence here. "The United States is a key country for Total. A major discovery was made recently in Ballymore in the Gulf of Mexico, one of our latest investments. Total is moving ahead on our commitments to expand in petrochemicals, which recently included the completion of a new fluids plant in Bayport. In line with our renewables strategy, we also purchased Saft Batteries, which is a wonderful complement to the solar business with SunPower. It's an exciting time for Total in the USA." CHRISTOPHE GERONDEAU, Country Chair for Total in the USA To find out more: www.us.total.com * Subject to closing of the Engie LNG acquisition 3

OUR ACTIVITIES IN THE USA EXPLORE AND PRODUCE EXPANDING OUR FOOTPRINT IN OFFSHORE AND ONSHORE OIL AND GAS FIELDS Active in Exploration and Production (E&P) in the United States since 1957, Total has a diverse portfolio of operated and non-operated oil and gas assets, from deep-offshore projects to onshore shale gas developments. In the Gulf of Mexico, our focus is on the deepwater domain, with working interests in two producing fields: Tahiti (17%), operated by Chevron, and Chinook (33.33%), operated by Petrobras. Following the closing of the acquisition of Maersk Oil*, Total will become a partner (25%) in the Chevron operated Jack field. We also hold a working interest in the North Platte discovery, operated by Cobalt International Energy, and in the Anchor discovery (12.5%), operated by Chevron. In January 2018, we announced a major oil discovery in the deep offshore Ballymore prospect. Our acquisition of a working interest in Ballymore (40%) was part of an exploration agreement with Chevron, signed in September 2017, covering seven prospects. To further strengthen our current exploration position across the region and to identify future growth opportunities, Total established an Americas Exploration hub in Houston, Texas in 2015. This hub supports the exploration activity of our E&P affiliates throughout North, Central and South America. Applying the same model, our drilling services for the U.S., Mexico and French Guiana will be centralized to our Houston office in 2018. At Total, we believe strongly in the power of innovation and invest considerably in R&D. Our researchers, based in Houston, Texas, and Palo Alto, California, develop cutting-edge technical tools and innovative quantitative techniques. Projects range from improving our seismic data acquisition and interpretation, using high-performance computing, to developing composite materials for lighter underwater pipelines. A number of our programs are conducted in partnership with universities, including Stanford, MIT, Rice University, and Princeton, and with national laboratories. 122 KBOE/D oil and gas production in 2017 * Subject to the closing of the Maersk Oil acquisition Onshore, Total operates approximately 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (shale gas production) in the Barnett play and is a 25% participant in a joint venture operated by Chesapeake in the Utica shale play. 2,800 wells in the Barnett 4

OUR ACTIVITIES IN THE USA EXPLORE AND PRODUCE By investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG), solar power and electricity storage solutions, we step up to our commitment to produce cleaner energy. Natural Gas and Natural Gas Liquids Trading and Marketing Total in the USA was able to capitalize on the Group's worldwide experience in LNG to develop a portfolio of U.S. LNG export contracts. The recent agreement to acquire Engie's LNG assets* - including interests in the Cameron LNG liquefaction project in Louisiana - will help us ramp up our activity to account for more than 10% of the global U.S. LNG exports by 2020. By then, Total will be exporting LNG out of three liquefaction plants on the Gulf of Mexico. With a strong track record of trading on the U.S. energy markets (natural gas, natural gas liquids, power, dry products), Total markets its own shale gas production and offers services such as production marketing, midstream optimization, financial trading and risk management. A world leader in batteries With Saft, acquired in 2017, Total develops solutions for energy storage, a critical issue for the expansion of renewable energies. Saft - which has a manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Florida - has supplied the space industry for over 50 years. With over 400 batteries in orbit, Saft has the largest fleet of batteries in space, equating to more than 35,000 cells with 620 million hours in operation. A fast-growing LNG activity Total Energy Ventures, our venture capital arm, is invested in 20 handpicked start-ups whose expertise can benefit Total and help create responsible energy options. In 2017, Total Energy Ventures was recognized as Corporate Investor of the Year in the Global Cleantech 100, an annual list of promising startups in the responsible technologies sector. Bringing tomorrow s solar solutions "We continue to make the world's best solar panels with technology developed and tested right here in Silicon Valley. These efforts result in domestic job creation, capital investments from our equipment manufacturers and dealers, and more affordable solar energy options for homes and businesses across the U.S. and around the world" - Tom Werner, SunPower President and CEO 7.6 MT/yr of LNG exports out of 3 liquefaction facilities by 2020 About 1 bcf/d of shale gas production marketed on domestic gas markets 25% World-record efficiency of SunPower solar cells * Subject to closing of the Engie LNG acquisition 5

OUR ACTIVITIES IN THE USA TRANSFORM AND DEVELOP STRENGTHENING OUR PRESENCE IN REFINING AND CHEMICALS From crude oils to gasoline and high-end plastic components, Total adds value along the whole U.S. petrochemical chain of production, investing to meet the country s growing demand for petrochemicals products. In the Port Arthur industrial complex in Texas, we refine up to 200,000 barrels per day. The plant can process heavy crude oil as well as lighter domestic crudes. It also has a dedicated unit to produce low-sulfur fuels, which reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We also own a steam cracker in a jointventure with BASF that can transform a wide range of feedstocks such as ethane, propane, butane and naphtha into ethylene, propylene, butadiene and other chemical raw materials. In March 2017, we unveiled a $1.7-billion investment project with Borealis and Nova to build a cracker that will start production in 2020. Petrochemicals are the linchpin of our U.S. business. Total operates one of the world s largest polypropylene plants in La Porte, Texas, which produces thermoplastic polymers used in applications ranging from packaging and textiles to lab equipment and automotive parts. We also own the world s largest styrene and polystyrene facility in Carville, Louisiana, and a polyethylene plant in Bayport, Texas, that makes plastic for containers including bottles.
