WHAT IS AN ADVERTORIAL + WHY IS IT BENEFICIAL TO MY BUSINESS? An advertorial is an opportunity for you to send a targeted and specific message directly to our 60,000 readers. You write your own message and we design it to look like a Dote editorial feature. The only difference is, our readers get to read exactly what you want them to, and they are exposed to your messaging. This helps create a relationship between you and our readers as they trust Dote and our platform. *Your advertorial feature will say Advertisement, in very small print at the top of the page, in accordance with advertising standards. TERMS INCLUDES 2 PAGES OF CONTENT IF ADDITIONAL PAGES ARE REQUIRED, THIS WILL BE QUOTED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS Content and images are to be supplied by client (Dote will edit and approve imagery, but will not write or produce content) Please reference Photography Standards on Page 08 and 09 500-800 words of targeted editorial messaging Content is to be submitted 8 weeks prior to Artwork Deadline Client will have sign-off and approval 2 weeks prior to Artwork Deadline The Dote design team will design the advertorial to be in-line with the branding of Dote and to fit with the overall look of the issue / 05

REQUIREMENTS All colours must be converted to CMYK. Minimum resolution of 400 dpi for all images and logos at 100%. Completed ad must be submitted as a pressready, high-resolution PDF. All ads, except full-page ads and double-page spreads, must have a defining border of.125 on all sides. Bleeds for full-page ads and double-page spreads must extend 1/8 (.125 ) on each side. Please note that we cannot guarantee 100% colour accuracy. UPLOADING To upload artwork, go to www.dotemagazine.com/ad-uploads and follow the directions stated on the page. Please ensure that your file does not exceed 120 mb. / 06

BLOG The Dote Blog, web ads, and Instagram posts are a natural extension of the Dote brand and a great way to further your Dote partnership. *IMPORTANT: Dote Magazine does not write or create the sponsored blog post content. 01Sign on for one or more blog posts and choose your dates. Blog post availability is subject to a first come first serve basis. 05Dote will ensure the post links to all desired areas (i.e.; suppliers or manufacturers) including back to the client s website. 02Submit your content (200-1000 words) and photography 3 weeks prior to your scheduled post. Please reference Photography Standards on Page 08 and 09 03Dote reserves the right to approve images and request any needed changes. 06Dote will post a social media shout out relevant to the post on Instagram stories with swipe capabilities, as well as on Facebook, alerting all followers to a new blog post. Your social media post will have the hashtag #sponsoredpost, in accordance with advertising standards. 04Dote will post content at 9:00 am on the scheduled day and the post will remain the head-post for 1 business week (Monday - Friday). Post will stay on the blog for 1 year after it has been posted. The bottom of your post will say: sponsored post, in accordance with advertising standards. *Request a week or book your post with our Blog Coordinator blog@dotemagazine.com / 07

ADVERTORIAL + BLOG PHOTOGRAPHY STANDARDS The design of Dote is executed in a specific way, and we may require the modification of your logo and corporate design colours we will only do this with your permission and will not compromise your branding Supplied images must contain negative space (so content can be used over top) Simple and clean images with one focal point are ideal Vertical/portrait oriented photography is preferred Please ensure all photography is original to you. If photography is not original to you, please ensure it is properly credited and that you have permission to submit it If photography does not comply with these standards, it will be returned to client, and new images will be requested. If this cannot be done in a timely manner, the post date will be modified or Dote will choose images from the Dote photo library *Due to variations in printing, Dote cannot 100% guarantee colour accuracy. Please do not submit photography with product or content added in postproduction, as this will not be used in the design (this will greatly detract from the efficacy of the intention of the advertorial) Submit 6-12 high-resolution photos 300 dpi, 1200 px tall (Please ensure your images are no larger than 1800px tall) * Dote has the right to decline images and request new ones or suggest stock photography, or Dote internal imagery as an option / 08

We choose imagery and messaging we know will resonate with our readers to get the best response to a sponsored post. Image selection: Dote will pull an image from the client s feed or use content that was created in partnership with Dote that we feel best represents the Dote brand, the client s brand, and the client s requested messaging. BECOME A DOTE STOCKIST As a Dote Stockist, you will purchase a minimum of one case and sell them at your location/business for the cover price.
