Helps organize the implementation and administration of the Human Resource Department functions and carries out policies and procedures relating to all phases of activities. Page 2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Position may perform some or all of the duties described below): 1. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. 2. Conducts eit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement. 3. Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints. 4. Represents the company for assigned unemployment claims. 5. Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings. 6. Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match eperience with specific job-related requirements. 7. Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, life, medical, dental, accident, disability, and life benefits 8. Coordinates procedures to initiate benefits such as Leaves of Absence, disability insurance, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. 9. Prepare and setup meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand, enrollment, claims processing and billings of insurance. 10. Conduct a quarterly audit of all group benefit plans to compare and analyze data consistency of payroll deductions, carrier invoices and employee enrollment forms. 11. Represents GISCC in investigating, answering and settling disputes, by arranging and scheduling meetings between personnel, supervisor and management teams. 12. Coordinate enrollment, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, and death claims. 13. Works in partner with the Human Resources Director with the administration of the company s state disability and unemployment insurance programs. 14. Ensures compliance with regulations and procedures in providing advice and guidance to employees by checking data/resources including Human Resources Policies, Human Resources Handbook, internal resource documents, and by seeking advice of other Human Resource professionals with department and outside as directed. 15. Attends conferences, seminars, and meetings of professional societies that will increase general knowledge and competence and, in turn, benefit the organization. 16. Assist with maintaining files and records, related to the Human Resources Department of the Company. 17. Assist with maintaining the recruiting activities of the organization to ensure the timely filling of vacancies complying with all State and Federal laws, Human Resource Policies and Procedures. 18. Composes and/or process correspondence, reports, memos, minutes and performs other typical clerical duties in a timely manner. 19. Serve as a backup and relief to the Human Resources staff. 20. Assist and provide clerical duties to the Human Resource Department as necessary and serve as a second auditor of Personnel Files. 21. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring safe work condition at all times. 22. Responsible to maintain a high level of confidentiality. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, or a related field. 2. Preferred eperience in Human Resources, industrial relations, or related field. 3. Ecellent interpersonal communications skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees, clients, and the public. 4. Ecellent grammar and writing skills.
Page 3 5. Proficient PC skills including Word, Ecel and Outlook. 6. Valid California Driver s License, reliable vehicle, liability insurance, and a DMV record acceptable to Goodwill s insurance company. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1.
