Emerging renewable energy technologies Division 2AA Emerging renewable energy technologies 40AB Inclusion of emerging renewable energy technologies The Minister may, by legislative instrument, determine that an emerging renewable energy technology be included as a renewable energy technology for the purpose of the scheme constituted by this Act. 17 Way forward Section 40B introduced by Senator Xenophon during passage in mid- 2010 of legislative amendments. Policy matter for the Government and would need to be raised with the Minister. Section 162 of the Act 2-yearly reviews of the RET scheme. The scope of the review is broad, and may present an opportunity for your organisation to raise the issue of eligibility of solar cooling. 18
