Job Description Job Title: Employee Communications Advisor Description Date: November 2017 SIA Licence Required: No Reporting To: Head of Communications Key Areas of the Role Purpose The primary accountabilities of this role are to: Deliver effective and measurable, internal communications plans to support the delivery of our Securitas UK vision and business priorities Deliver engaging, two way employee communications which inspire and influence employees and key stakeholders and which drive change in a fast-moving environment This is a varied role demanding a flexible and adaptable approach and is likely to further evolve and change over time. Responsibilities Strategy and planning Working with the Head of Communications create and deliver an internal communications strategy that is integrated with the Digital and Corporate Communications strategies and which meets the needs of Securitas and its employees - and tells the Securitas UK story Business partner functional leads and key internal stakeholders to create and deliver effective engaging employee communications to increase employee engagement and drive Vision 2020 Working with the Head of Communications deliver large organisational change projects, including organisational re-structure, IT/HR systems changes and acquisitions, TUPE Work with the Digital advisor and Corporate Communications advisor on a collaborative plan across all channels that tells the Securitas UK story in an exciting and engaging way to employees Be responsible for quality and editorial control of content for all internal comms channels including globalnet, poppulo, mailchimp and social media sites Establish policies, standards and procedures for structuring, creating, presenting and sharing content and be Securitas expert advisor on use of communication channels Nov 2017
Working with the Head of Communications to ensure a consistent look and feel across our channels by applying a uniform branding strategy Develop and lead a community of content owners, editors and contributors ensuring they are fully supported in helping to help drive consistent high standards and best practice Channel Management Work with the Head of Communications to deliver best in class new, innovative channels that meet the needs of employees and the business and which are engaging and informative Ensure that all communication is co-ordinated - ensuring they reflect external news and business content and tell the Securitas UK story in partnership with the Digital and Corporate Communications advisors Project manage the implementation of Poppulo (previously Newsweaver) to employees - gaining an expert understanding of its capabilities, pulling together a launch plan and ongoing management as a key internal channel, including measurement Source, write and deliver excellent copy, in Plain English, across all internal (and some external) channels including for Poppolu, Mailchimp, external website and social media Measurement Use management information i.e. social media and Mailchimp, Poppolu and event survey analytics to demonstrate effectiveness of channels, media and engagement activities to show positive outcomes A/B test all internal comms campaigns to measure effectiveness and define success criteria to increase readership and reach Research and make recommendations for improvements which when implemented show positive impact Event Management Be responsible for managing the Community Awards nominations, judging process and al1community Awards communications Work closely with the Corporate Communications advisor to write, source and coordinate external industry award entries Help deliver best in class Securitas leadership and client events, including planning, execution and measurement

Person Specification ESSENTIAL Must have the right to work in the UK UK/ EU citizen or valid work permit Excellent knowledge and understanding of great internal / employee communication best practice Experience of delivering and managing leading-edge communication channels to engage employees including social media, Sharepoint, Mailchimp and Poppulu (previously Newsweaver) Experience of developing and delivering practical and effective communication plans for programmes and projects including change management experience i.e. communications for large scale change programmes including HR / IT systems changes, organisational re-structure, and TUPE Excellent copy writing and editing skills with a clear understanding of how to write with an internal tone of voice A good understanding of evaluation approaches and strong statistical analysis skills to measure success and impact of employee communications Excellent influencing skills - able to build strong relationships and network with Securitas UK colleagues Must be able to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. word, excel A strong team player, who thrives in a collaborative setting and works well within a fast-paced environment.
