FI Competency Profile (extract) Management Excellence Finance: PS leaders deliver results by maximizing organizational effectiveness and sustainability. They ensure that people have the support and tools they need and that the workforce as a whole has the capacity and diversity to meet current and longer-term organizational objectives. They align people, work, and systems with the business strategy to harmonize how they work and what they do. FI Core curriculum - Mandate To support GOC policy Policy on Learning Training & Development aims to enhance professional standards of functional specialists, including finance specialists; further strengthened by the Directive on Administration of Required Training Policy on Financial Management Governance provides for the development and implementation of a government-wide core learning strategy on financial management for all employees of the public service involved with the management of resources and meet the evolving needs of Financial Managers resulting from increased accountability, emphasis on risk management and the impacts of the policy renewal 8
